Blown headgasket, if you couldnt tell from the last pic. lol. I cant believe my car was once as slow as this thing. Still, the price was right.

Not bad for a backup if both your cars break. My brother snagged up a silver 1999 oz with 200k on the clock for 500, had hole in strut tower, and need timing/water pump. Same condition as yours.

Yeah. I feel a little bad though, it was my grandmothers car, she said she loved it but she doesnt have the money to fix it, and she said she would rather see me do something with it than scrap it. So Im at a toss up between just taking the motor and building a spare, fixing it and driving it, or fixing it and selling it for 1500 or 2000 and giving my grandmother half.

Why don't you fix it and give it back to her?
Seems like the right thing to do in my book.

This.
My mom drives a 97 GS. Blown motor, bought Terry's old motor, put it in, and then gave it to my mom.

I'd have to agree with Paul and Tim. If she loved the car, and was gracious enough to just give it to you, fix it and give it back to her. I'm sure it would make her very happy.

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, then it was always yours. If it doesn't return, then it never was.........

Agree with most. Fix it up, give it back.

Hell, yeah! You're never too old to have some fun. Imagine a cop's face if he would pull her over, expecting a young kid, and he sees you're grandmother behind the wheel of a boosted Avenger. Priceless. But seriously, I would definately say fix it and give it back to her. A little detailing would be cool, too. Remember, grandparents spoil us, so it would be cool to return the favor every once in a while.
