Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Movie trailer? Or just some short movie? Either way, Looks awesome. A whole new story for Mortal Kombat. I love the new look and story of Baraka and Reptile.

I could be wrong, but I heard that the female actress who plays Sonya confirmed via twitter that this would just be a short film. Who knows though, I have also heard other things like a full length movie to be released in 2013, and even a TV series. Either way, pretty sick!

I like how they transformed the 'super-human' fighters into deranged killers. It gives the potential of having a more dark vision of the Mortal Kombat world without going into the typical campy garbage. It's almost as if they combined Mortal Kombat with Silence Of The Lambs. I say they make it!

This looks awesome. Never thought Scorpion was a good guy at first. There might be a sequel to this because he's really a bad guy and brother to Subzero. But he was also a good guy in the game subzero.

Actress Jeri Ryan, the actress portraying Sonya Blade in the video, has confirmed via Twitter that this is a short film created by a director to sell Warner Bros. on his Mortal Kombat pitch. 'It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film,"

Good guy or bad guy...Scorpion is one bad mofo in this. "Leave no survivors..."

I really think this movie could be a big turn around for video game based movies. I mean think bout how most of the video game movies flopped. Blood Rayne, House of Dead, the orginal Mortal Kombat...along with the sequel, the sequels to Resident Evil...they all sucked.

The idea is a fresh take on the game. Genetic defects and cosmetic reconstructions to give the characters a more realistic feel, this idea will more than likely get jump started.

As long as they keep Jerri Ryan if they make the movie.... just do a google image search and you'll see what I mean...
