44301, A cop?
Posted by Flipboi89, May-19-10 11:49 AM
Going to work I'm on the highway going 70 in the left lane. See a car behind me going faster so I switch to the middle lane. Car goes by and I'm like heh knew it, was a undercover cop saw high fog lamp, antenna, and lights.

He slows down and looks at me. I'm like ok what I do? He looks over, nods his head, then pulls. I'm like wtf? I aint stupid cop. I saw his comp in the dash and say all his cop stuff for his car. He did this like three more times trying for me to race him. I just laughed and thought I'm not an idiot I know your a cop. Eventually just went off going back to speeding. Interesting...

Jesus, you kids. First rule of driving; NEVER, EVER look a cop in the eye while driving. It only makes them more aggressive.........

yeah sometimes that doesn't matter. Cops will just pull you over just because. Routine stop is what they tell us down here. Basically that can be called entrapment, atleast some lawyers use that to get people out of certain situations like that.

It's usually impossible to outrun the radio...

It's been a saying since the 70's. "You can't outrun Motorola."

Cops will always target modified cars. It's the nature of the beast. Sometimes cops just like to do things like that on the highway to see how people react. If you panic and act like you're guilty, you'll get pulled over. Everytime a cop does that to me, I nod, smile, and wave. Almost always, they wave back and keep going. Some cops are dicks, but there are cops out there that are car guys or just plain cool. You never know which one is driving up next to you. Just something to keep in mind. Just cause he's next to you doesn't mean he's out to get you. :)

Before I moved out of Connecticut, I had a 30 minute run in with a cop that pulled me over for doing 84mph on Rt 90 when I just got on the road and was maybe doing 50mph. He was aggresive from the start, but it pays to know laws with regards to modifications. I ended up shooting down his every attempt at giving me bullshit tickets. But I did it very cautiously, and in a polite and quiet voice. After half an hour, he finally asked for my license. And when he saw I was 33, and not 18 like he hoped, He just gave me back my license, paused, and quietly told me to have a nice day and drove off. And this ended up being something I would do about once every four months. So,you can look at a cop, and even defend yourself, it's just how you look at them, or act towards them. Any sign of aggression, disrespect, or weakness they see, you're nailed. Another thing I learned is that if I were speeding, and I saw a cop, but it was too late to slow down, I would pull over before he got a chance to put his lights on. I'd get a thank you for him not having to chase me. He would acknowledge the fact that I realized that I was going to fast and wasn't going to fight any possible ticket, since I stopped voluntarily, and then he'd BS with me for a few minutes, joke a bit, talk cars, and leave with only a written warning for something stupid, like a blown out lightbulb, just because he needed to give me something, only because he called it in. And this has happened ALOT... lol

When I get pulled over now, they usually complement my interior, taillights, and one even invited me to his car club. It's all about attitude... and stealth... }(

Ok, maybe you guys didn't get the joke.

This is a twist on the concept of never looking a stray dog, or wild animal in the eyes because it can become a challenge to them...........Jesus, you kids :rolleyes

You should have given him the one finger salute. Then, after being pulled over, say "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were a cop. I though you were just some douche trying to street race and I don't do that."

I'm just sharing my experience guys lol no need to argue. Just thought it was odd. Cops mostly ignore me I guess they believe I did it right modifying my car. Plus I'm not a showboat that speeds and invokes races.

And lol cougar that would of been funny. Till he would of wrote me up for loud exhaust and no cat >.>.

Thats the only thing that sucks when your in a heavily modified car you can't screw with cops like that unless you want non-moving violations.

There's a difference between 1) heavily modded car..and 2)a car kitted, rimmed up, tinted out, fart canned, and neons everywhere, etc.

It's the 2 that always grabs an officers attention. Those types of mods are meant for one sole purpose, attention. They all scream "look at me". So when you do these mods, you deserve to be stopped by a cop, i mean hell, you asked for it.

And why would you even want too screw with cops...too get fucked by the long arm of the law?

My rap sheet is way too long to even dare too honk with a cop nearby, let alone try too race.
