Made it in last night gents.

Texas was a bitch to drive through. The Budget truck was a 2008 GMC 16' with 30k miles, and a gutless 4.8L gasoline engine. Electronically governed at 75mph. It took a long stretch or a downhill to even get up to that speed where I would feel the fuel cut. Grossly underpowered for the payload it can support.

I just unloaded the 2G off the car carrier. Interestingly I had three separate situations where I had another 2G roll up next to me on the highway and give me a nod, or pull into a gas station/truck stop and give me a horn beep and a slow lap around the truck.

And as one last fuck you from SoCal, I came out of work on Thursday, my last day, and found a nice 5" key mark down to the metal on my driver rear quarter high behind the rear quarter glass. What the fuck.

Welcome, brother. :P Look me up if you want to go grab a beer, or need a friendly garage.

Definitely bro. Living at the in-laws place for an unknown amount of time (until wife and I find a place to rent or buy a place). A lot of my stuff is going into the storage unit. Located right off the 75 and 301. Where abouts are you?

Spent day and a half shoveling, resting in between.

Good to hear you made it to FL safely. Sorry about the key mark.

Dale, I need to find my pics from the blizzards out here from a few years ago. Mal disappeared under one of the drifts

Congrats Dave. I'm willing to bet you even enjoyed the ride as an adventure.

Oh and you suck for being in that nice weather while I'm stuck up here in the cold (its February and its traditionally the time that we New Englanders start getting sick of this shit, lol).

Good luck down there.

I'm just off of 19 and 54, that puts me about an hour NW of you, depending on traffic.

Right on. We should meet up. I have nothing going on this week really. Some place downtown or something that is halfway?

The 2.4L tasted her first taste of 93 Octane today too :p

The drive was not too bad. I pushed straight through though as I wanted to get here as soon as I could, safely. Left Phoenix at 0930 on Friday, and arrived in Tampa at 2300 Saturday night. Not too bad for a big ass Budget truck with a car carrier behind it, electronically governed at 75MPH. I am afraid to add up my gas receipts...

I'm or we OH 2gnt'rs are expecting another 9 inches tommorrow. I heard it gets bad there probably the same as Nothern Michigan. They shut down I-75 from Mackinaw to Sault Ste. Marie, when its a level three.
I actaully drove through it once in 97' after my wedding my ex. at the time wanted visit my father's plot. Two years later my aunt passed away, we stay a hotel and we lived through a Tornado. It skipped us it sounded like a frieghttrain, sky was green.
