I know. There was another discussion over on Neons where some members were doubting my Bad Guy post on AMM over there. Mark stepped in backed me up on the facts. It cracks me up that people still purchased items from him after my feedback post on that forum was read.

I haven't checked the thread yet, but I have worked out a deal with Mike that he's going to do some welding on the front end of my Galant. I'm going to pay for materials and buy him lunch for his time. The $200 I'd pay for the work is going to Dave towards his tab. Probably by the end of the month.

To Mike's credit, he took full responsibility for the problems. Doesn't make what happenned right, just pointing out the level of acceptance. Of course, one would say words are cheap, how about some actions? Yup, fair enough.

So do we throw out, what I consider to be a great product, due to problems he was having at that time? He didn't run away with people's money and never show up like ERT did. Not to mention the cash our buddy Mr Slick grabbed and ran (Which I just missed getting caught in). Then you got your various versions of problems with CI Motorsports. And he's not trying to sell you something that can't be made like DSMGraveyard.

Mike CLAIMS that he is trying to make a product, while attempting to make it up to those he dropped the ball on. Do we say because of said problems, one would be a fool to do business with him?

Sure you could. You would be absolutely justified in taking that position.

But, that certainly doesn't help Dave get any money back or help to keep a well crafted product on the market (yeah, you're saying that Dave may not get his money back from Mike. I'm thinking that he will eventually get it back).

The problems that Mike had were tucked into the problems that he had paying the machine shop. His labor on the parts was obviously just cash to himself. So I'm thinking if you want to decide to use him, set up a deal that doesn't give money up front. That way you would be safe if he does try to grab and run.

Meh, this is honestly a little defense of Mike who seems to be a good guy (yeah, I know, so did Chris and Mr Slick, lol). But it is more a defense of his product.

I do want to add that I do not get any special deals because of any defense that I put up for him. Though I have gotten little breaks because of the car his parts were going on (again, full disclosure).

To me he is exactly like MRSlick. he obviously disappeared from 2gnt with people's money. None of his intake designs are anythign special but modified copies of other peoples designs. Hell if you wanted all you have to do is order the the made plenum and cut a factory intake. Do a little Alum welding and bang you have an intake. Hardly something to write home about. Then again this is an opinion from someone who can weld alum so it is a bit onesided.


I do faulty him becuase he could have been giving Dave some sort of payment even if its a weekly payment of 5.00 just to show good faith that he will pay him the 500.00 back. If it were me that is what i would do.

I did offer the payment method to AMM back in October or so. I even sent him paypal requests for $20.00, but never got any fulfillments.

I never really bothered asking him what happened but I do know he was ever so slowly paying people back. Had him do a complete timing side job on my SRT last month. Top notch work.
