That is just a starting figure. In a situation like that you have no idea how expensive it will get due to the fact many of the parts that will have to get replaced are no longer available so they will be relying on people selling them for whatever prices they may want.

Fawk, that's a heartbreaker, right there.
I'm surprised an operation of that magnitude doesn't have warehouses available...

Nasty weather last week. I drove right past there Saturday evening and the scene looked so nice, I thought about pulling off onto the shoulder to take a couple pictures of all the cars parked out in the sun. (There were no tents.)
I had no idea. Bummer. I don't feel for the guys who spend the big bucks building show queens that will never be driven, but my heart goes out to the average Joes who might have been forced to consign their baby in this economy or only do one car at a time, over the course of years who met this fate.
The guys who will make more from their insurance than they would have sold the cars for will be alright and tough shit about their inconvenience, but the regular guys whose pride and joy was destroyed by an "act of God" that will likely not be covered by the event liability... Damn.

That's a shame. But at least no one was killed.

I dont care who they are......those cars are some of the only real tangible evidence of automotive history. Pictures in a book are not the same.
Kinda like being in vietnam or just looking at pictures of vietnam.
