Dude, wtf is going on with that engine. I see an HKS BOV, an intercooler, then what looks to be a normal N/A header, some crazy ass intake piping/hose..

Looks like he is in the process of putting the turbo kit on but didnt tackle the hard part yet.

Car has potential, little elbow grease and changing things around and it would make a nice 2gnt.

I don't think it's building on a small budget b/c people are necessarily cheap asses, but there just aren't many people who are going to go and spend $3k+ on a car they bought for $1k-$2k. If their budget is bigger, they're likely to go with a better platform (Albeit there's only one platform I can think of that's just as good looking for only a couple thousand more and its 2g awd dsm's). Don't get me wrong, I still love my 2gnt, but the amount of work / money that would need to go into one to make it decently quick is just more than most people are willing to spend based on the value of the car to begin with.

I'll probably drop another 4k on my car someday, but maybe that's just because I still love it and am the original owner.
