4264, my wife lost the baby Posted by KaptainMyke, Feb-27-06 12:58 PM
We had our 3rd ultrasound today. The membrane or 'sac' stopped growing since our last visit. We had a miscarriage at 7 weeks.
No job, no baby, no health. When it rains, it pours fellas.
That is all for now

First off, I am truely sorry! ;( Life is weird, one sec when things start to look up, they fall right back down again. I am truely very sorry man. I dont know what I would do if I found out that we lost a little one. Life can deal you some pretty shitty hands, especially with what you have been though in the past year. I will keep you in my prayers tonight and everynight. Keep your head up, you will make it though. I didnt think that I could ever rebound after my mom died, it has been almost 2 years now, and the pain is still there, and I dont think it will ever go away, but you will learn how to cope and deal with what life hands you. You are a true superman!

Mr. and Mrs. KaptainMyke,
There are things in this life on which most of your friends online and in-town will be able to comment in the interest of consoling the two of you, but then there are things like this that no comment or well-wishing by anyone will now, or ever, fill the emptiness you now know. Even today, I still keep the last ultrasound in a frame by my computer. It makes no sense and yet it makes total sense. Those who have not experienced this loss will never understand. The pain never goes away, it merely dulls to a subtle ache which is never forgotten for long.
All I can tell you is, focus on each other above all else. Do not let this change the two of you in any way other than to bring you closer together. Hold each other up and do not lose hope. Your life together is being put through the flames much like a blade in the forge. With each time in the fire, you can fold the steel over, making the blade stronger, or you can let the heat break you down into scrap. There is nothing the two of you can not overcome. There is nothing in this life that can take away the one thing you have that is most important - your love for each other.
Keep your heads up. It is always darkest before the dawn. The night may seem endless, but the dawn will come.
Brian
PS - This thread ruined my entire fucking day. As if the two of you don't have enough to deal with right now. God dammit.

Man that sucks Mike sorry. When I was little, my mom went through that three times. Luckily the fourth time I finally got my little brother. I hate his guts sometimes though lol.
