I did that once, with car running during winter. I forgot my door locks by itself, child safety locks. Thankfully, I had a spare key in my house.

Wow, I got a lot more responses on here than I did my homepage. To answer some questions, no I dont have full coverage, I have liability, so I dont know if it will be covered. Allow me to tell the tale...

I wake up at 6:58 this morning to what I thought was my alarm clock. I jump up and realize its my car alarm. My car alarm goes off for 30 seconds when the shock sensor or door sensors are triggered. After that 30 seconds the alarm goes off and re- arms. I make it to the window to see the last flash of the lights and it goes off. I think at first maybe it was a cat or something. I decide to get dressed and check it out. I walk around the yard (lot) and was about to go inside and see my passenger side window, half in my car half on the ground. I was seriously so pissed I wanted to kick a baby.

The douche who did it wasnt there for for than 20 seconds. He did a half ass attempt at getting my flip out and pieced out. Im pretty sure the faceplate is repairable and it still works. Who seriously tries to steal something at 7 am? Anyway, I did end up calling the police and getting a report filed. I have a spare window, its just the hassle of replacing it, getting it tinted, vacuuming out all the glass and that horrible sound it makes when you close the door. I was only going to drive my car another week before I put it up for winter, so I decided to put it up early. Hopefully she makes a comeback during the winter.

I always do this and never give anyone the chance break in my 2g.

Sounds to me like you were targeted. Do you have a decent sound system? I tend to turn mine down about 3 blocks away from home as well as put the screen down as at night going down the street it emits that TV glow that ppl can see and becomes very attractive to the right eyes. I live in the HOOD and have to this day been lucky or smart... not sure which one yet.

Id like to think of it as decent. It consists of: Dual XDVD 8181 7 inch flip out, Sony 800 watt Amp, 2 Sony 12" subs in one of those eclipse hatch cut boxes. It makes my sunroof glass and brackets rattle, it can be heard a few blocks away according to my parents, lol. I try not to go around town toolbagging my system away, but I like to hear bass now and then. But I always turned it off before I got to my road, I like in a pretty bad neighborhood.

I really wish I could, but this one doesnt have a detachable faceplate. My old sony used to, and Id put it in my glovebox and lock it, one thing I love about our cars.

What sucks even more is when you go to put the new window in. It SUCKS DICK! I hate putting windows in 2g eclipses.

That sucks. I take off my faceplate too whenever I park the car. I also cover my gauges with a black t-shirt so that my car looks absolutely empty on the inside.

Me and a friend just swapped his girlfriends RS doors with GS doors. Very easy took 20 minutes. Just have to plug in the relays now.

Remove the whole inside door trim thing, remove the plastic with the sticky shit on it. Remove the bracket thing that the mirror bolts to. Unbolt the window from the regulator, and it should come out. I had to play with mine for a while to find the right place/angle that the window will come out at, but it's not too bad. It will probably take you a couple of hours if it is your first time doing it. I may of forgot a few details, but that is the general process. Good luck!
