I'll start off with the good first. I'm looking at buying a new vehicle, trying to decide between a 99 Eclipse GST or a 01 Montero Sport. The GST will need an exhaust manifold(cracked), new front bumper(destroyed), probably new intercooler by the looks of it, console/armrest and a very good detail job and tune up. It's white/tan interior with Bomex sideskirts and red front/rear oem bumpers,17" gunmetal paint peeling rims, aftermarket exhaust, short shifter and the body is in good shape. The Montero Sport is black/grey interior with gunmetal bumpers/fender flares/running boards, no mods lol, tinted windows and maybe 2 dings in the body, everything else is in great shape. I'm leaning more towards the Montero right now, I really would like something that more than 2 people can ride in and I already have 2 Eclipses of which one I can't seem to stop dropping money in lol. Just wanted to get some opinions from others. And.....
I went to go get some food tonight, exited off the interstate and stopped behind this Dodge Ram waiting to merge onto the main road. Traffic clears and he starts moving, I do the same, take a quick glance back to make sure no other cars were coming which they weren't, look back ahead and BAM! The dumb fuck stops for no reason at all. Now my front bumper is split/warped, radiator support and upper bumper bracket bent up, nice size chunk missing from my carbon fiber hood and no damage to his trailer hitch. First thing I go for to make sure is ok was my intercooler lol, it didn't get touched luckily, then I stepped back and started cussing. No cops were called and he went on his way. Also I managed to avoid busting my projector headlight by barely an inch, so I guess it could have caused alot more damage than it did. It's time to park it for awhile now :(

Well I made my decision today and bought the Montero Sport. I got a hell of a deal on it too! I really appreciate the 2g love everyone showed in the polls though. I may just end up buying the GS-T too, to be fair lol. Found out today they are still waiting on the papers to come in on it which should take at least a month, so that gives me enough time to save some money for it. Now it's time to park my baby for the winter and start the engine rebuild, I'm so excited now. I love working at a towing/salvage yard, it's the shit!
