41399, Gauge Posted by barza21, Sep-01-09 10:37 PM
For those of you that were in chat I came in and was freaking out this might sound familiar.
I installed an electronic oil pressure gauge (Prosport) and everything was fine. Until one day the pressure started reading zero. So here is what happened.
I put on the mechanical gauge I have and what do you guys think happened? That is right!! It worked just fine. The Prosport sending unit took a dump! I have only had this gauge installed for a month! So far really bad experience, I will call them and see if I have any warranty or something.
Tek, Dino, you guys were right!

Just as another point of view, I've had 2 Autometer sending units go bad on me before, in the span of only a month or two. They're kind of like hard disks in a sense; In that, it's either going to go south quickly, or it'll work for a long period of time.
