My 10 day trial just expired, I'm fucking hooked. Going to get a retail copy right now. It's a great game, I'm not even into shit like this but I always liked warcraft. Anyone play? What server do you play on?

I have a bunch of characters but I don't have the time or fast internet connection to play these days. I have characters on Magtheridon (horde) and Lightning's Blade (alliance) along with Matt (HybriDSM).

i had it and sold it on ebay along with my level 60 warrior for $215. But I miss it and no other game out there compares to it so Im going to pick up just a keycode on ebay or something and start again maybe. But play way less than I used to.

I've been wanting to buy this game. I've read about it, and it seems this game is solely ONLINE play right? Looks like a good game, but every time i buy one of these, a new one comes out seconds later.

60 human rogue, 50 dwarf warrior, 18 human priest (shadow spec for fun pvping), 22 druid, 10 tauren shaman, and a little 1 gnome mage mule. Those are the ones on Garona which is all I ever play nowadays.

actually there are some "companies" out there that farm gold and items and sell them on ebay for real money. it's nothing to laugh at either considering they probably make thousands of dollars in profit. it's not unheard of for a lvl60 character to go for $500+ on ebay.

WOW is pretty much the top MMORPG right now. cith of heroes/villains is pretty neat (little brother has it) but overall WOW is a better game graphically and content-wise. plus there's a WOW expansion coming out sometime this year. there's a reason WOW won game of the year and continues to expand by the millions on a global basis. it's addicting as hell and you can easily waste your life away playing.

btw in china the government has mandated play duration caps and penalties after a couple left their infant unattended at home for a brief play session at a local cafe which turned into an all-day grind. sadly their infant died and as a result all of china has been penalized with play restrictions. in china there are severe diminishing returns for playing over an extended period of times. after a certain point you no longer gain experience until taking a minmum downtime. so yea you've been warned.

And I know WoW is addicting. Which is why I opt to not even try it, lol.

u can level up in any game quick, there are people that start a new toon one day and like 3 days later there the highest lvl u can go. It can be done, but that is only if you have no life.

The fastest you can level is 10 days played time. Chinese farmers can attain this goal by rotating people in on three hour shifts.

Some buddies from work got bored yesterday. So we are all rerolling chars on Hakkar. New server with no transfers from other realms. Time to play hardcore to be at the top of the food chain.

I play too much but i'm having fun. I started playing on Jan of 05 and this is what i have so far.

I have a 60 Rogue, 60 Priest, 57 Hunter, and a 57 Warrior on Eldre'Thalas

And i also have a 21 Druid on Shattered Hand.

lol i haven't maxed a single one of my guys since i started playin around july...

any of you guys us any UI mods? i messed around with insomniax and a few other for awhile but hassling with updates after every patch was taking too long. i'm thinking about going back to just a handful of mods maybe. just not a full UI again.

I've seen several players with 60's at 6 days played. And remember, played isn't normal time so rotating 3 hour shifts doesn't really mean anything. The poeple that did it in 6 played alot with rest and always had a full grp to plow exp. I cannot imagine getting to 60 that fast though. The most fun is the process of getting there.



As far as UI mods, I use cosmos (alpha updated every time i log in), CT_Mod, and Gatherer. I'll be using titan panel now too.

haha people started making lvl 1 alts on Medivh to go watch since it looks like they're gonna open tonite sometime. now all the regular people can't get in... the medivh people are PISSED

The AQ opening event takes 5 days for the troops to mobilize and get all of their supplies to the camps outside AQ. I guess the one hero from each faction who has made the staff gets to be the one to ring the gong and open the gates too.

Apparently, Blizzard is going to remove characters (or not allow them on the server) who have been created in the last week or so to allow older players the chance to see the world event. Queues on Medivh have gotten close to 1000 people.

I also wanted to add that WoW is fucking cool enough to make the opening of AQ more than just "new patch/new instance - go in and have fun" They make it a server wide campaign to provide materials for the war effort against Ahn'Qiraj and then give a massive worled event involving an army marching to open the gates and take on the enemies within.

Much better and more engaging than most would make it I assume.

yea i just saw the 5 day wait thing when i checked this morning. it's pretty funny that bliz started auto-porting all sub-30 toons right out of the area. of course these people are whining on the forums that blizzard is violating their "gamer rights" lol

i've always been pretty impressed with blizzard's new content. sure the game's not perfect, but they've kept it interesting for well over a year now. this whole AQ thing was a pretty neat world event - i wish i was high enough to participate in some of the larger parts. lookin forward to the expansion. :)

At full rest you can only have 1.5 lvl's of rested XP though. 1.5 levels of rested XP on a level 1 toon would take about 5 minutes to plow through.

I think my server is 20th or so for AQ. Our horde side has less population than the alliance and that is what is slowing us down so much. Hopefully it will be open in the week or two.

Im a level 20 Warrior, had game for like 2 weeks. Man im so addicting, its a great game.

my server has fallen to 7th in the AQ gates standing (blackhand)

and as for leveling to 60, i leveld a priest to 60 in just over 10 days played... its really not that tough.

whats tough is getting to pvp rank 13 lol.

umm your best bet is prolly to find a friend that has it. as far as i know you cannot download a demo. the game is like 4 cd's PLUS the current 300mb-ish patch so i don't think you'd wanna download it if you could. if you've got a friend with the game you can either play on their account or use the free trial account that should have been included with their purchase. plus that way when you sign up they get like a free month of gameplay. also it's best if you can play on a trial account b/c you keep your characters when it expires and you switch to a regular account. if you're playing on your friend's account there's no way to transfer charcters to another account.

if you're a Runescape fan you'll love WoW. better graphics, better gameplay and the playerbase is somewhat less retarded since it's people actually paying to play. WoW's pretty much the top MMORPG right now.

oh if you ever plan on selling keep in mind you hafta sell the entire account (all your characters). but it's not unheard of for a lvl 60 character to go for $500-600ish on ebay.

Edit: best game ever made no doubt. I've been the most unproductive pos since I started playing. But i've been addicted to blizzard games since day one, exept diablo heh.

Edit 2: I can play it at 1650x1200 (native rez on my 20" lcd) with all the settings cranked. This Radeon X850 is the Shiznite!!

haha that's a sweet card you got...

i've got a dual 19" lcd setup. it's nice playin with WoW full screen in one screen and chatting or scoping 2gnt on the other :P
