Isn't fun. Scary when a motor mount goes while you're exiting a turn under full acelleration.

How did you manage that Paul?

I was exiting turn 3 at Sebring. I was taking instruction during the most recent track testing event. (I should add that it was my flying lap, or lap 3 for anyone who hasn't been to a track before; ) I exited the turn and the mount just let go. If you look closely at the discoloration, it looks like dry rot. I think the previous owner may have had aftermarket mounts and swapped the OEM ones back in before he sold it. The mount must have sat in a garage or something for awhile, before I got ahold of it. Fortunately, there was another SRT owner there who hooked me up with a stocker that already had a urethane insert, didn't charge me, and bullshitted with me about various possible routes to better track times.
(Personally, I blame the instructor, he had to be at least 275, and that's being kind.) In any case, I've got a set of Mopar S3 coilovers lined up locally, after that it's brake upgrades in the front and strut tower braces.

Lucky bastard, getting to run on the Sebring track.
I'd love to get some track time there, although I'm not sure I'd be that impressed, it appears to be a very flat track, I thoroughly enjoy the elevation changes at the local track here.
:cheers Here's to breaking stuff! If you aren't breaking things you probably aren't pushing it hard enough :P

Yep, it's nice being less than 100 miles away. (Roughly 90 from my house) If I break to the point it's undriveable, AAA will tow me 100 miles. :D

I assume you'd wait an hour to two hours for aaa to pick you up. I've had aaa before it was like that everytime, thats cool you live close to that track.
I been wanting to go to Mid-OH heard its an awesome track they held time attack there as well, its on the other side of the state from me, I think its down by KingsIsland.

Not surprising. Upper mount? Mine failed catastrophically under normal use. Both those upper and lower mounts are complete shit. I threw the AGP upper and lower on and never looked back. Gave the car some pretty good vibration but it's worth it.

I went to change my oil today and found that the lower mount had failed in the same way, as well. (I was driving a little before hand and had some wheel hop.) Sadly when the mount have out it took the cv boot with it. :( When it rains, it pours. Another replacement mount is on. :rolleyes Tomorrow I'll reboot the axle, and post pics of the carnage.

Like I told you in chat, buy the AGP mounts.
Magnum SOHCs do it too. Same mount for either platform :P

These AGP solid mounts for the srt-4 will work on our 420a, what location to bolt them up at.

Why you gotta blow stuff up at my hometown track? lol jk. I live 2 min. away from the track here at Sebring. You would be surprised at what goes on out there.
