I picked it up last night!

2001 Dodge Neon ACR with 48k on it. Has Tokico struts, Eibach springs, STBs, CAI, Supertrapp muffler exiting out the drivers side, Schroth harnesses, Azenis, Energy bushings, and some other stuff im still finding.

Came with every single OEM part, a FSM, and some other stuff.

ACR/RTs for 2000+ come with the Magnum SOHC motor. 150hp, most dyno at 135-138whp stock.

So far im in love. Needs to be cleaned, a few teeny parts replaced (because im too picky, like the Dodge emblem up front is faded), and ill do general maintenance.

I actually kinda like the Magnum motor. I can tell you this, my DOHC ACR had UDP, header, exhaust, CAI, and a TB. This car would destroy that one.

This car handles like a dream.

She is definitely screaming for some black wheels and some tinted tails though.

As soon as I sell the BPU's from the 2gnt, its getting a Modern Performance LTH and a TB.

Will need tires soon, and im doing a tune up this weekend to be safe :thumbsup

Technically I have the same bottom IIRC! I think the Magnum basically got DOHC pistons with antifriction coated piston skirts.

I'm assuming you have a mtx, those came as mtx. I worked for Wally Armour as a Lot-Tech. I drove a few of those cars six months before they started selling them to the public. Damn, I miss this old job drove a different car/truck daily.

Didn't they also came in two door coupes also, for the ACR R/T models.

I need to replace my mothers rockers/lifters in her Neon same year, could I use our 95-99 2g lifters/rockers. I found her a complete used set from cimotorsports for cheap. My local salvage yard don't carrying them.

Since someone posted an Neon thread I thought this could help both of us

GST's are 5x114.3 and Neons are 5x100. So swapping wont work, but the Neon brakes are actually very capable with a good set of Hawk brake pads.

From 2000+ the D4RE was discontinued, so these are all SOHC, in which case no the DOHC ones will not work. ACR/RT received the Magnum HO SOHC, all others received the regular SOHC that has been in Neons since 1995 :)

Windows are tinted on mine btw...
