real intreesting but so unbelievable. also the way he talks....its like he talks like someone in the 1940's would talk.

does anyone else feel that way?
i mean as the years go by....we take in the way people talk from before and combine it into a "new" type of talking as time goes on.

So you would think if this guy is from 2036 he would have incoproated the way people talk from 2000 until 2036. but to me it just seems like he has gone back in speech and talks like someone from BEFORE our time.

nonetheless...someone has wayyyy to much time on thier hands.

still scary as shit...american civil war begins in 2005? lordy! look at our elections now, and the democrats and republicans battling it out this past year and last year in texas. I could go on and on. California elections, lol. Man I totally beleive it if we are beginning the due processes of a lost consitution and loss of civil rights. Look at the "patriot act" pt I and II...we will slowly start to lose all our rights as American Citizens.

edit:> do a search on google for "patriot act II" and you'll see what I mean.

But you are assuming that 2000 is interesting to some one from the future.

Do we speak like people from the 50s? Like you said the previous generations speach idiosyncracies (sp) are sometimes incorporated into the next, but look at his "time". from 2004 to 2036 there are several upheavals...civil War, WWIII. Now looking at the results of these things, the people have gone back to a simpler way of living. More folk/hippie type settings, more like 1800s than 1900s or 2k. Another comment of his to look at is his statement that the future hates us. If they hate us, why would they incorporate out slang into their speach? But that whole "futrue hates us" bit is contridictory. He states how the US is split into 5 city-states like areas, with 5 different presidents. Kinda like a Militia man's wet dream, really. Anway, apparently the future people are more close and in a better life. He even states at one point that having half of us die is best. So why do they hate us?

KAPAX.... I'm still reading, then I'll have something more interesting to say.

if he came back in nov 2000....(why would he pick this particular date??? our "current time") wouldnt he say something about sept 11 or some changes in terrorism. and his car that he came back in time...its like an old corvette or some old car from 60s-70s. how would he have that car in 2036 if there was a mass nuclear war and most of america was destroyed...how was a car from 60s-70s preserved??

also...i think it said he was born in 98. shouldnt someone look up this kid or his parents to see if he exists. what if the hoaxer just randomly pulled this name off some kid that was born in 98 to trick everybody...and if it was real and he is a 5yr old...wasnt that a serious breach of his mission to tell everyone who he was. im sure they would have some sort of code of ethics in the future for time travelling

that guy is a looser. hes found a creative way to critisize current culture/events and is using a form of cold reading. do you honestly think someone from the future would draw ALL that attention only to be vague? plus, the only "clue" i saw was that hes full of shit. he referes to going back in time in order to contact his grandfather to obtain an IBM 5100. anyone familiar w/ time travel is knowlegable about a certain idea that goes as such: if you travel back in time and meet you relatives, its possible to change future events in a way that you may never be born. IMO, its a little joke poking fun at the people who dont think about things like that.

^^^perhaps i missed it (i only glazed over a lot of the stuff) but where did he mention anything related to quantum physics? hes already screwed up so much i doubt he has the capacity for such things. i could be wrong though, im going to read up a but more.

in responce to jhofromthesubs:

"You do not rewrite history. I can only affect what happens here just as easily as you can."

yet another joke meant for people who can understand that he is a fraud. here, he is telling the truth because he is not from the future, and he is not privy to information from the futer, hence his statement that he doesnt affect the future anymore than you or i. of COURSE someone from the future may only have the same relative effect on the future as someone who isnt, the problem lies in the fact that because he knows certain things you or i dont he can CHANGE future actions by being here, leading to a paradox. do you honestly think that in all of the future, the earliest anyone would go would be the year 2000? if time travel were possible in the future, shouldnt we know about it by now?

"Why do people in this time period worry so much about time traveler's destroying their world line when they have no problem doing it themselves every day?"

more social commentary. this guys a douche and makes it blaringly obvious.

again..what hes doing is called COLD READING. he mentions a subject that much of the population can relate to, such as the conflict in the middle east. everyone nowadays assumes he HAS to be from the future becuase of what is going on now w/ 9/11, etc., but in reality the middle eastern conflict has been going on since the end of ww2. he alludes to russia as being an an antagonist to the US in the future, but that cold war scare is still previlent in a lot of americans, so that "prediction" resonates w/ a lot of people. if i had to guess, i would say the guy is fairly well educated, white, is from the mid-west, and is roughly 35-40 years old. guess what..thats also called cold reading..i know his age because he alludes to trends that are experienced only by people his age, he is probably intelligent because he referese to complex social sobjects, and he is probably white because of the fact that 80% of the population is white (good odds), and he is probably from the northwest because he mentions nebraska as the new state capitol, and people with esteem issues such as his tend to make things up in order to make thier present situation more gratifying.

in the end, i have respect for the guy...hes smart enough not only to fool people, but to include clues as to why hes a fake. thats serial killer mentality, if ive ever seen it.:P

In reasponce to some of the things I've said...
I was really interested in this and just read it and posted what I thought was missed by others. There is no doubt in my mind that this is fake but it is still really interesting to me. I will read more on it tomorrow, because I am now a few hours behind in homework because of this.

Never again will the U.S miiltary bear arms against it's country. The National Guards are allowed to bear arms against it's citizens, only under Martial Law which is the Governor's call. But Guards, Reservists and Active are all One Army. We uphold the Constitution and ulitimately serve the Commander in Chief for the best interest of the Nation, not the state. Our military is too disciplined to go Rogue like the Philipino Army a few weeks back. Civil war on American soils will never happen again. War on American soils is very and I mean very unlikely. Those who have seen Red Dawn may have shit in their pants way back like I did. But truth to the matter is, every state has National Guards and Reservists if not just an active military base. Texas has very big Military and Air Force bases including National Guards. Alaska has a very high speed Infantry Brigade along with National Guards. Any preemtives nuke strike against the U.S will be taken down with the swiftnees because of NORAD. Which by the way is commanded by my former Division Commander. This guy is full of crock shiat. Even if there was to be civil war in a couple of years, I'm still strap to the bone. Assualt rifles and small arms. He's been watching the Post Man too often and not enough of Back to the Future.

collente: i hope THIS is not the quantum physics you are refering to. sounds like he has a physics 101 education, or (more likely) he spent a couple hours reading about relativity and steven hawking online.

in responce to what time-travel is like, this is his responce:

"The unit has a ramp up time after the destination coordinates are fed into the computers. An audible alarm and a small light start a short countdown at which point you should be secured in a seat.

The gravity field generated by the unit overtakes you very quickly. You feel a tug toward the unit similar to rising quickly in an elevator and it continues to rise based on the power setting the unit is working under. At 100% power, the constant pull of gravity can be as high as 2 Gs or more depending on how close you are to the unit. {edit..really, approaching a singularity makes 2gs? ::sarcasm::} There are no serious side effects but I try to avoid eating before a flight.

No bright flash of light is seen. Outside, the vehicle appears to accelerate as the light is bent around it. We have to wear sunglasses or close our eyes as this happens due to a short burst of ultraviolet radiation. {edit: i close my eyes while welding too, and thats similar to time travel. are you hiding somthing, or you just not want to be witness to spaghettification?}"

"Personally I think it looks like your driving under a rainbow. After that, it appears to fade to black and remains totally black until the unit is turned off. We are advised to keep the windows closed as a great deal of heat builds up outside the car.{edit: you HAVE to be joking! keep the windows up...BWAHAHAHAH!!!} The gravity field also traps a small air pocket around the car that acts as your only O2 supply unless you bring compressed air with you. {edit...not even going to TOUCH that one}

This pocket will only last for a short period and a carbon sensor tells us when it's too dangerous. The C204 unit is accurate from 50 to 60 years a jump and travels at about 10 years an hour at 100% power.

You do hear a slight hum as the unit operates and when the power changes or the unit turns off. There is a great deal of electrical crackling noise from static electricity. {edit: no, you dont}

ok, if thats not enough convincing, i dont know what is. if anything, this guy has made me realize how easy it is to make people look like idiots who belive anything. man, i wish i would have thought of this first....
:P

edit: for some reason 2gnt wont let me use brackets ( < > ) to insert comments, so i had to use the squiggly things ( { } ) instead. im too damn used to correct editing symbols.

Here is why this guy is bs. Theoretically we could be able to manipulate time someday, but what you have to realize is that is you were to travel back in time you woud de-age acording to how far you traveled back, and if you were to travel back to before you were born you would cease to exist. According to this guy he remained the same age throughout his "trip" even when he traveled back before his birth. There, the bull sh*t card has been dealt.

And now my reply to that, in 2008:

Habeas Corpus Restoration Act of 2007

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habeas_Corpus_Restoration_Act_of_2007

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habeas_corpus

Never say never!!!!

How about the brainwashing of our soldiers? The referenced biblical verses the God said was "okay to murder" to the soldiers can accept killing OUR mothers and children on our own soil now in the interest of...WMD and TERRORISM.

With all the raping of fellow female soldiers, the creation of Heroin, the destruction of families torn apart for a war that should never have started, the greed and corporate scandals of HALLIBURTON and the FEMA camps....our military should be more feared than most countries threating of WMD.

We, my friends, are the terrorists. The US is the money hungry blood thirsty country. We have been for OVER 60 YEARS.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/terrorist

terrorist - 4 dictionary results
ter⋅ror⋅ist   /ˈtɛrərɪst/ Show Spelled Pronunciation

–noun 1. a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism.
2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others.

–adjective 5. of, pertaining to, or characteristic of terrorism or terrorists: terrorist tactics.

Sounds like WE are the terrorists. Sounds like Bush is a terrorist, too. He frightens others into thinking there are terrorists out there with WMDs that never existed.

Realisticly? I haven't altered my way of living, or lateral thinking on these subjects. I use common sense with most of this. But sometimes one can't help but not ignore some of the things going on in the world just be keeping up with the middle east right now, or wall street. History repeats itself. Things are already mirroring late 1930s, early 1940s. No tin foil hats over here, folks. Question reagarding the world is: "What can you really do about it, anyway, am I right?
