Within the next month, I would like to start a few new projects for you guys out there, that like nice quality cheaper mods...

So, I am asking, what would you guys like to see made?

We have discussed this before, and I think it got too out of hand from people requesting Intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, etc. The cost of that stuff is getting through the roofs, so lets keep this on the lower end.

I have an idea's such as hard upper radiator pipe's (polished and black in color), front lower tie bars made of stainless steel, upper strut bars that would possibly bolt to the firewall, etc.

Give me some input, let me know some stuff that you would like to see for fairly cheap guys.

Sounds like you already some good ideas. Here are some that I was thinkin might be on the cheaper side but I dunno how much supplies cost so I could be wrong.

- Strut tower bars for the front and rear
- Maybe front and rear sway bars
- Maybe solid front motor mount
- Maybe polished radiator mounts

I hope that might help ya out on what you might want to start making projects on. :thumbsup

Yeah, I thought about upper front strut bars that would bolt up to the firewall...I always liked that design. Radiator supports is a good idea, but you can pick up a set from Hayamme for like 20 bucks for both.

I'm lost as well as you, Big-Motor-Man.

Just another body brace, like a strut tower bar, etc. Doubt there are but 2 or 3 2g's ANYWHERE that could actually need them. They make them for the Evo and I never got the car to the point I felt I needed them - and that was tracking it at least once a month. Unless you're building a 10/10ths Time Attack car, I'd say they aren't very necessary. And what is that pic of, an Altima or Maxima? Bling!

it's an inner fender brace, good for cars that are flexy like my eight-six but I believe that 2g's would be stiff enough with a strut brace that triangulates to the firewall

so yeah mike, if you could do a strut brace...

Im all for a triangulated STB.

Id say aluminum.

Powder coated wrinkle black.

strut brace would be cool, alumin.

Stainless brace and heat treated with gradual color gradations.

and yes there aren't many cars that can take full use of the inner fender braces but i had quite a bit of trouble thinking of what he could make that wasn't an intake or exhaust lol

No, maybe a hoodie and some cash. Cost of material would be as much as a hoodie probably :)

Design an engine compartment cover much like the newer cars these days that cover up all the cables and crap underneath our hoods, black with a logo on it. Something to make the engine look a lot less cluttered. :)

edit: here, something that looks similar to this outer cover.

Engine covers are for cars that have no chance of looking decent without one. IMO our engine looks quite nice without a cover. especially with a polished or powder coated VC and good headers/tubular manifolds

For strut bars....I would stick with stainless. Alum will flex a bit unless is big and bulky.

if you seriously want to get into the strut tower bar thing... shoot me an email when ya get a chance. I have all the info you will need as long as you have access to a CAD program. I would deffinatly suggest stainless, if done properly it can weigh less than half the alum and be twice as strong.
