I heard him say 63 trim instead 60 trim, from his first video walk around.

You should message him about it

Here's his other one of his rebuild

Kid looks like a tool. He sure was hitting that #2 piston pretty damn hard into that cylinder wall. Also, he needs to learn how to better use a torque wrench, lol.

Its a cool video though that shows how some machine work is done, thats about it.

I thought the vid was cool.

This shot was stretching it a little though (no pun intended)

I like how just because the car has a two color pain scheme this guy is all of a sudden a ricer. Oh I forgot, unless someone modifies their exterior exactly the way that '2gnt.com'ers like (shaved and lowered), it is rice. :rolleyes

This guy's car is faster than most of the ones on this board. Try to keep that in mind when calling someone a ricer.

By looking at his setup, I think it's safe to say that it is faster then 98% of the n/ts on this board. And yes, I know that his turbo setup could be janky as all hell, and probably doesn't compare to yours. But again, this is 2gnt (as in second generation NON-turbo). I just don't like how this board seems to be moving in a direction where anything that is different is considered rice. His car isn't my cup of tea at all, but I still think it is tasteful.

lol I would hope it is faster then most n/a's.

I dont think its full of rice, but there are a couple sketchy things he did with it. But its his car, he can do what he wants, when he wants you know.

He *ditch* the shitz front bumper and wing, so there's hope. Lose the malignant hood and I'd call it good.

Fake vents anywhere on a car = rice.

At least on the GS-T and GSX models those ducts actually are used for something. :)

I like how he mis-spelled the word TURBO in the opening title!

RICE

Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. (R.I.C.E.)Parts put on cars to make them look fast, when they have no internal tuning, and are actually slow as hell. Parts usually consist of excessivley angular bodykits, large rear spoilers, neon, sponsor stickers, chrome rims, fake "coffee can" exhaust tips, and loud, annoying paint jobs and/or vynils. Sometimes parts are do-it-yourself installed and are basically duct taped to the car. Most commonly known for being done to Honda Civics, but can also be done to slow domestic vehicles, such as a Chevy Cavalier, etc.

Today's definition has morphed into "anything that is not stock that is done to the exterior of a car except lip kits" :)

No, when I was a teenager (many years ago) rice was used for Jap bikes (rice burners). The rice refered to actual, eat 'em up, rice that the Jap's ate. It was a derogatory term then and its a derogatory word now.

Hey, I did a little search and even on your generations encyclopedia (wikipedia) they refer to rice that way;

"Origin
The word "rice" in rice burner refers to the fact that the vehicles the term was originally applied to were of Japanese origin, and the fact that rice is a staple food in East Asian cuisine. Its earliest usage is still in question, but examples include the term referring to Japanese motorcycles in the early to mid 1980s, and muscle car enthusiasts' jokes that cars from Japan used engines powered by rice alcohol."

Nice acronym but not the origin of meaning.
