36655, Primary Wire Posted by eclipse982nrRST, Nov-03-08 04:51 AM
Does anyone know where I can find 18g primary wire sold by the foot online? I found a place called www.installer-parts.com and they have most of the colors that I need, but I am missing a few odd colors like tan, lt blue, lt green, violet, etc.
I am making a nice quick disconnect harness for my MS ecu and am having troubles finding one place that carries all the colors sold by the foot.
I know RS Auto sells universal kits, but I dont need every color wire and I dont want the wires imprinted with what it goes to like theirs does, like injectors and tps, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Have you considered McMaster-Carr? Summit?
It's been so long since the Dr.Uber ground wire kits, I have no clue where I got all that wire...

Didnt check McMaster, but Summit and Jegs only carry it in spools and dont have the odd colors either.

Mike you can try DelCity.net. I think they only offer it by the spool though. $4.32/45 ft. When you go from 45 foot to 100 foot you get a slightly larger selection of wire. $6.50 for 100 ft spools.
EDIT: Forgot URL. http://www.delcity.net/delcity/servlet/catalog?parentid=181398&page=1

THIS is where I heard "primary wire!" I saw a roll of it at work last night at Home Depot and was trying to figure out where I'd heard it mentioned last.
Check you local Home Depot. Electrical department. Bet they have it and can cut it to length for you. Worth a shot, anyway.
