You f-ing Cannuck.. you live up north.. what do you expect?? It should have started to snow in October there (for all I care lol)!! It's just 5 hours south of Terri and it's going to be almost 70* here this weekend.. +1 goes to me for living south of the Midwestern weather belt. Have fun with the white shit all over the ground!

Yes snow sucks, but global warming is climate change, meaning, the hot will get hotter and the cold will get colder. That's just the beginning. And yes, this winter is going to be long here too, sucks. "F" the "F"ing snow!!

It was 64º here this morning. The funny part is, people were running around in heavy winter coats. Meh, It'll be 85º again in a few days. :P If you don't like snow, move off the tundra.

We had snow in SC last year. It was fucking awesome.
I heart snow, but I hate the northern states that salt everything. I dont like my cars rusty.
EVERY northern car I have seen has rusty bolts, clamps, brake lines, etc.

We use sand in ND. Minnesota salts though.
Salt >>> Sand but rust does suck.

Fer Sho...I'm still waiting over here on the west coast. I got a new board and will buy a season pass soon. Bring it!
I'm sure I'd hate it if I'd have to drive my snow plowing car around however

Actually, if you go do a bit of checking, you will see that we are nearing the end of a solar cycle and the winter this year and next year should be some of the coldest on record as of late.
Global warming is a myth created by Al Gore so he can sell 'carbon offsets' and make billions of dollars.

Actually going from what we know about weather paterns and historical data, the Earth is due for another ice age between now and 20,000 years from now. Yes, it's a big gap in our eyes. But this is because we have such short life spans, comparatively. :shrug The current global warming scare is nothing more than the natural wax and wane of temperature cycles.

I agree with this from my limited knowledge on the subject. As far as I understand it, it's just the natural course of things. However, I don't know much about the subject. Nor do I think Al Gore does.

Yes, most of the leading scientists in the world don't know anything about global warming (climate change). Who wants to listen to some of the smartest people on the planet. :rolleyes CO2 levels and greenhouse gases fluctuate through out time yes, but since mankind has started to produce these at an accelerated rate, it is undeniable that we are the major contributors to this problem. They have proved it, and yet people still think it's something natural. That's like if I killed my husband, and then saying, "the bullet killed my husband officer, I only pulled the trigger, so it was just a natural thing that occured" It's okay though, human beings are used to letting the next generation fix the mistakes of the previous one. Some day the damage will not be able to be reversed though.

Of course, these are probably the same people who were preaching fire and brimstone at the hole in the ozone twenty years ago.
Whatever happened to those guys? I suspect the hole has gotten bigger, despite my opting to switch to the pump-action hair spray from the aerosol, but people aren't crying about the Ozone hole like they used to. I kinda miss the hole in the ozone. On top of that, I'm feeling generous. If all of this is from industrialized areas pumping out pollution, we can safely say that all of this damage stems from the actions of humans after the industrial revolution. Even though that didn't begin until the end of the 18th century, let's be generous! Assuming the industrial revolution started in 1800, we're approaching 210 years of industrialized activities which are capable of damaging the global environment to the point where it will be unable to recover.
I find it hard to believe that, if man can do as much damage to the environment in 200 years (closer to 150, in all actuality), there is even a remote chance that we are going to be able to stop, or even more laughable, reverse the process. Selling carbon offsets is a money making scheme by definition. "The more you pay us, the less you actually have to clean up!" Carbon offsets and credits are nothing more than money-making operations that stand to make hippies feel better about not being able to actually do anything about the problem.
The Earth has been around millions of years. It's not going anywhere. There is no reason to worry about old Mother Earth. As the climate changes (as a natural function of planetary life cycle), the living creatures, man included, on this planet will either adapt or die. Dinosaurs weren't driving H2s with spinnaz on 'em. They weren't pumping garbage into the ocean, yet the climate changed, ice moved in, and they bought it. Such is life.
It is a shame that humans care so little for the quality of the environment, but bullshit schemes and propaganda only serve to diminish the notion that man can play a role in improving the environment. The more the hippies stink up the airwaves with their fire and brimstone (and BO), the less people will care to hear about it.
Meh. It's time to go home. Beer is calling.

BTW. I am now offering to all ALL 2GNT members a customized carbon offset program. For every $20 that a 2GNT member sends me I will not drive my eclipse for an entire week. Yes! an entire week. That will allow you to drive your eclipse, nay, your turbo'ed, nitrous fueled eclipse as fast and as hard as you want and you will not have a harmful impact on the environment at all.
Paypal payments accepted with receipt for tax write-off incentives.
thanks.

I do agree with a lot of what you said, but we really can't deny that we are totally messing up the biosphere with pollution and garbage. How can people sit there and say, it's a natural thing! Look at this graph going hundreds of thousands of years back:
Since the industrial revolution, it is so obvious that it's mankind the major problem, there's no arguing about it! I believe that since we are the smartest species on this planet, we have a responsibility to take care of it somewhat for our future generations and the other life as well. There is a delicate balance to things whether we like to believe it or not, and we are causing serious problems. Yes I do believe mother earth will take care of itself, but we might not like how it ends up with how we have to live.

Again, I am not an expert on the subject by any means, but I took an astronomy class a couple of semesters ago and learned a lot about the lifecycles of planets. As planets age, they continually build up more and more greenhouse gasses untill the planet is uninhabitable as part of a natural cycle. This means the heating up and eventual loss of water on the planet. Again, so as not to offend the easily offended, this isn't to say that we shouldn't do something, or we aren't responsible for the speeding up of the process.
And good lord, isn't this post just suppose to be about complaining about the weather? I can't wait untill the election is over and we can all be friends again.

Here is a list of scientists that do not believe in Global warming.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scientists_opposing_the_mainstream_scientific_assessment_of_global_warming
More scientists who believe Al Gore is lying.
http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Alt/alt.politics/2008-05/msg02899.html
Here is the amount of CO2 output for mankind vs. natural output.
http://www.skepticalscience.com/human-co2-smaller-than-natural-emissions.htm
That is 7% of the CO2 in the air is made by man.
We can go back and forth about this all day and neither of us will win. You can believe what you want. Besides, global warming is a good thing. Life thrives in warm weather.
