A buddy of mine has 3 19" flat screens going all the time, its insane. Hes got 3gb of ram, so he can be burning a dvd, downloading music on one screen, talking to people on aim on one, and searching the web on the other, and its faster than hell lol. A little expensive for me, but its pretty cool.

i thought the same thing before i had two monitors. now that i have two, i dont like using less than two. i would prefer to have three but right now im using 21" CRT's and i dont got room for a third. dual 21" at 1280x1024. one side is for "legal" downloading and the other side is for web browsing and whatnot. then there is aim, ssh windows, notepad for notes, winamp, etc, etc that scatter across both of them to maximize my desk space. i wont even show you a pic of my data closet. ;-)

I use dual screens all the time for video/audio editing. I really can't see working any other way now that I am used to it. I had a second one in my room for a while but it wasn't my monitor. It was great for writing papers because I could have the document on one and then the webpage I was referencing on the other.
