So I log on to Northwest's website half an hour ago to do the early check in for our flight to Indy tomorrow night for the Shootout. Turns out I've been reading the reservation wrong for three fucking months. The flight doesn't leave tomorrow night. It just left half an hour ago.

$200 cancellation charge and $3000 for the alternate flight on short notice.

So much for the Shootout this year.

Besides, that would be over $400 just for gas from Phoenix to Norwalk and back, not to mention leaving tomorrow night would get us to Norwalk Saturday night at best and we'd have to leave Monday morning in order to get back by Tuesday night.

I'm about in the same boat. I only live about 40 mins away, and so I'll see if I can make it up there, but I work that entire weekend.
