that's right folks, on this day in 1981 MTV first aired leading off with an almost ironic song, the Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star
many years later they no longer played music videos regularly and had to start a second channel MTV2 for music videos, which now ironically no longer plays music videos
Maybe I should have called it irony day? :shrug

Agreed. If you're a sniveling emo piece of shit, MTV is where you learn how to think. They tell you what's cool, what's not cool, and to Rock the Vote. Too bad it's all puppets voting.
