If you dont know dealership terms, PDI stands for Pre Delivery Inspection. We got one of the first in Ohio, 2009 Turbo Cobalts. I must say, these are very nice. Very nice dressed in a lot of GM Performance parts, all interior is leather and two toned, very clean. Rusn on 18 inch aluminum rims, and pushes 15psi. They are decently quick for a new car,and its nice that GM brought back the turbo's since the Supercharged Cobalts were not such as a hit I think they thought they would be. These new turbo cobalts do have alot of potential though, I can say that.
Just wanted to share.
Also, they come with some sick ass brakes on them. HUGE Brembo front calipers and HUGE front rotors too.

EDIT: Bet no one knows about the new Impala coming out do they? Since 09 is the last year for the Monte Carlo, GM is making a 3.6L AWD Impala with a complete new body. It is pretty sexy. This will come out in 2010 with the new Camaro.

It was making me wonder why he was looking at an ebay rebuild, couldn't he just get a new longblock at cost?

Dude. C'mon. The Camaro is on the new Zeta platform, which is RWD. GM was planning a new, larger, "completely new" Impala with the 3.6L V6, but like the Camaro, it was to be RWD (in addition to being another re-skinned Holden like the G8). No mention of AWD in a GM product short of a possible option for the new CTS Coupe. Oh yeah, and GM announced they were pulling the plug on this Impala within the last couple months. They say CAFE and a poor economy, but we all know it's just their continued circling closer to the drain.
Seriously, aside from the Solstice and the Sky, GM builds trucks and crap. It's all regurgitated, recycled, and rebadged mediocrity. They're headed for Chapter 11, my friend. Time to find a Toyota, Honda, or Nissan dealership before it's too late. "The core demo is tapped-out and moved onto a Scion tC, or an Altima Coupe, or at the more expensive end of things, an Infiniti G37. At best, the Camaro can carve out a big slice of small – and rapidly diminishing – pie. Once again, GM's timing sucks." (Justin Berkowtiz, The Truth About Cars, July 23rd, 2008)

Well, back to the original topic, my buddy got an 08 Turbo'ed Colbalt a few months ago. For a turbocharged GM vehicle, I think they did a very nice job. Decent sized FMIC, beautiful 4-piston Brembos in the front, and we brought it to the track and he pulled off a 13.9 after 3 runs. I'm actually considering getting one. 260bhp and 260 ft/lb. of torque at about 2000rpm's. And it boosts about 19psi.

Probably the exact same power plant the Solstice / Sky uses. Except it's a Cobalt.
Cobalts are ugly.

Yea it is. The 2.0L Ecotec.
And thats the reason I probably won't buy one, at the end of the day it's still a Cobalt. Just a $24,000 Cobalt.
