I drove off the lot in 1998 with my Eclipse RS (she is a 96) since then I have put less then 500-600 in service work This car just works........ Well did work. For the first time in 10 years, My RS didnt fire up. She has been sitting for about 6 months I think its the coil or fuel pump. Minor stuff for sure she cranks fine.

These are great cars take care of them and they will take care of you. Im not even ticked off that she is broken, Hell its been 10 years.

Will be 9 years later this year for me, and she has never failed either. Still running strong at 120k. Get your stuff fixed man, 6 months is too long

she is getting a new engine 2.4 baby Im at the finding parts stage.

My DD is a GST thats why she is sitting now.

Sometimes after sitting they take awhile to start up. Try to start her for like 10 minutes before you give up. (obviously not continuously...)

Im working a half day today. After I get my FMIC installed on the GST. Ill try to get her started.

I was thinking about this, Since she was sitting 6 months in my driveway that is on a slight angle. Could the gas drain back into the tank from the lines? I sat there cranking her for about 5 min and gave up.

All I know is that I let my old 1g sit for about 2 months once in california winter. I tried to start it up for about 15 minutes and it just wouldn't go. An hour later I came back and it started second try.

I get home today. Walk over to my car and tell her if you start up ill give you a spot in the garage.

I started my car for the first time in 3 years on Monday. Gave it a boost and it started right up.

I then drove it 1 mile down the road to the new garage where it will sit.
