No, the EvoX guy didn't want to get his new toy dirty. Considering he propably paid the price of a new Carerra to get one this early, I don' really blame him.

The brand new WRX was plenty happy to slap some rally tires on and get dirty though, and it seemed to do better than the older body style. It was remarkably quiet too.

My car's totally stock, I even had to put the factory airbox back on to stay in that class. Tires are throwaway $50 Nankangs, and have soft sidewalls. They look flat cause I was experimenting with 25psi for traction. Went back to 30psi to prevent bead popping off rim.

EDIT: Could have been worse. My buddy Ray got there only to find someone had dumped a handful of sand or something into his crankcase. He spent the weekend lying under his 1G replacing rod and main bearings in a hotel parking lot.

Aw, that's too bad. AGP Turbo got one a few weeks ago and is already throwing parts at it. So far their up to 330wtq/345whp with a few bolt ons. Pretty neat seeing it rip around the track already. :)
