the Midwest Autoshow was this weekend in Omaha and i got to spend some time with the new Evo and Lexus Is-F. i have to say that up close this thing is hot! i wasent really an Evo fan before but i think im finally swayed from the STI to the evo this year!

The Is-F was very nice and subtle (in a toyota sort of way) pretty much a Is-350 with a 400hp engine in it for $50K

oh yeah i had a discussion with the Nissan dealers and the first Skyline GT-R sold in Omaha went for $120K!!! 50K over sticker price!!

the new evo is ugleeeeee. big ooops for Mitsu's part. Fire the design team, quick!

The new EVO is not ugly first of all. The rear of it looks a little boring but overall a nice machine. Especially the Brake set-up.

The Lexus is just another boring Lexus. Its like BMW's, its another mid-life crisis car with a rediculous amount of power that will never get used, because of the crowd thats drawn to purchase it. who cares.

The lines on that Evo remind me of the Acura TL for some reason. Not a big fan of it either, but that Lexus is sweet.

The evo almost resembles a mixture of the new STI and the Skyline. Not the prettiest thing, but when have Evo's ever been "pretty". It would be nice to see some actual interior shots to see if they did away with that so uncomfortable feel in the front that is more of a family car than a sports car style. I like the IS, sad I can't afford one, but would be better served with AWD.

i tried to get the guy to unlock the door so i could get some interior shots but he didnt have the keys.

ill try going to the dealership this week and see what i can finagle

x2, much more grown up looking. Also the front bumper makes it look like it's going to eat everything in its path. Hopefully the aluminum block can follow in the 4g63's footsteps.
