Did you get the freezing rain too? We had that thursday here in IL then of course the sub zero shit we have now. I think windchill puts us at -10 or -15. Base temp is -7 today.
Gas bill is going to be high this month!

When I got off work last night, passed the bank and it said -14 degrees (not including the wind chill). She was DAMN cold out. It's about 3-4 degrees right now and not very windy so it's bareable.

Actually bank thermometers are built into the sign so if the bank sign says -14, thats the windchill factored in.....ask me how i know.

never been too far up north, but I know how much it can really suck in the Midwest. We have the wide open spaces for the winds to really kick up, that multiplies the wind chill beyond belief. I remember a few years ago we were having days in the -40's and below with the wind chill factor. I don't care where your from.. that's damn cold. Not just the wind, but you add in lake effect snow and the moisture because of that.. and that makes a bone piercing cold that you wouldn't believe. Nothing like getting sloppy wet snow fall on you while your already that cold. By far the Midwest has the worst/most unpredictable weather anywhere in the continental US (not including Alaska).
