new season on tonite?! man when I was younger I used to watch it every Sunday when I skipped church. Pretty pumped for a whole new show haha.

not roids' more than likely Human growth hormone, they don't look roided out, usually u can kinda tell.

I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. I always said that if I had the chance to do it I would. I have been looking for information on how to tryout as a contender. I'm hoping I can for season two.

Oh, I didn't watch it tonight past the women's powerball when blue got hurt.

It would be a lot of fun to be a contender.. but probably a HUGE time commitment. Also being out in LA area.. probably not possible for me.

The old ones are better. Too much tv drama and acting in the new one.

im sorry it may have been because I wasn't completely sober, but this show was unbelievably (and unintentionally) hilarious.

Seeing that first chick falling on her face like 8 times was classic. The one girl went headfirst into a metal pole and split her head open. The little asian dude who talked about being a spider monkey (and acted it out for us all to see).

Plus that same little asian guy got jacked in the face at the end of the first contest. lmao.

oh and plus when they put the 1 on 1 matchup with the ginormous black dude, i was like "where'd they find this gladiator, mortal kombat?" looked crazy enough.

the chick that got hurt in powerball is from about 5 miles away from me here in Iowa, they had a big thing on the news about her last night... Musta been a slow news day. lol

I would pay for a 300lbs+ body builder to try out, get on, and rip each and every one of those douchebags to hell...

the guy I knew that tried out to be a gladiator asked about being a contender.. they told him he was too big and strong. They look for average sized guys that don't match up to the gladiators. Hell I bet they wouldn't even let Demos on as a contender.

that once sentence just inspired me to watch it the next time it is on. I dont remember it, but apparently i use to watch it when i was little.

Im sitting here watching it now and its just not the same...

the old one was better, much better. Well atlasphere was dumb bt that was near the end of the last run. They need to drop hogan and bring Larry Szonka (sp?) back.

Whats with the obsession with water? they have it under the joust and in the eliminator AND under the rings. Bring back Cannonball and drop that stupid platfrom over the water run back and forth game. Also, the old Assault was cooler and better, the new one is lame and gimmicky.

I watched American Gladiators in the first season, where the referees didnt wear ref gear, they wore black hoods, it was awesomely lame

Agreed 100%, the new version is as gay as a bag of dicks.

Gladiators are a bunch of tools, Hell if theyre gonna play over all that water at least make the females wear white t-shirts... something cool. lol
