Yeah its a kit. If you look at many of the kit cars that are mid engine, you will find the majority run 4cyl motors. They dont want to spend the money on chassis and suspension engineering so that the car will handle as expected with such a heavy motor.

All the kit cars i have found for a mid engine are 4 cyl. The GT40 replica is setup for a ford focus engien cradle and motor/trans combo.

Kinda sucks but if you enjoy building them then it doesnt matter.
