Im pretty bored tonight, and got curious. How or why did you pick your user name you have here? I personally didnt want to ask stupid questions when i didnt know talons/eclipses so i wasnt going to use a name i use at pther forums so i looked out the window and seen a bush, and the name hedge just came to mind. I thought after all of my stupid questions were gone i would make a new name but it never happened.

An interesting topic, I suppose. I've been using various incarnations of this particular tag since around '92 (Yes I was 9.); When I became the SysOp of my first BBS. Yes! 3 nodes paid for by my paper route... TW2002, LORD, Usurper, BRE...A time when the internet was used strictly by the military and influential professors, a time before bloat-ware, a time when OS2 was going to be the most amazing thing since sliced bread... But I digress, just an aging tech-head starting to reminisce about "The Time."

It's my last name with a couple x's around it.

I used to be a diehard Straight Edge kid when I was younger and this username has always just stuck with me.

a friend of my dads used to tune and race Ducati's so ive been facinated with the sport since i was young. he gave me a Ducati Performance "Foggy" hat once (back when Carl was winning GP's) complete with his famous "evil eyes" and since i wore that hat so much my friends started calling me foggy.

Mine came from a sport compact car article entitled Screamin Eagle. I just took the agle off to make it easier to type in.

This was before I knew anything about the DSM scene and then realized that the term screamin eagle is used by everyone and their grandma.

the story behind eclipse982nrRST...

Back when I was in high school when I got my car, I wanted a cool AOL screen name. AOL Back then (still might have this feature) had this thing where you could type in like 5 words you were interested in having in your screen name. I put in Eclipse, 1998 and tuner. It came up with 'eclipse982nr' and that was my initial AOL screen name. When I joined the site here, I added the RST since I became turbo.

Hence, I have an eclipse, its a 98, 2nr = tuner, RS base + turbo.

haha some of us put so much thought into our screenname. I picked up an old tuner mag and on the cover it had an eclipse and the headline "total eclipse" and I have a 97 so i kinda skewed the spelling and there ya go.

Mines just my initials and my birthdate. It was originally for aim and I just used it for pretty much anything else I signed up for after the fact so I wouldn't have to remember multiple user names

I just thought "total eclipse" sounded cool and clever so that's what I picked and just added my grad year at the end.
