with the increasing popularity of MMA fighting, and the decrease in good boxing matches and/or judge decisions, boxing seems almost dead... this is the last big fight of the sport i'm afriad!

Yes, it's very sad that true boxing died a long time ago. The corruption, and lack of a *successful contender for the title that the public could rally around has plagued the sport for a whole generation. What once used to be one of the greatest sports of the world, has since diminished to nothing more than a bunch of hoodlums beating each others' brains in. I guess that's why I still watch the old classic bouts and amateur fights when I can. I would love to see a great boxer rise up and contend for the title, someone that the public could relate to, and be proud of.. like they used to.

I haven't watched boxing in a long time, too corrupt and has become the Boring nascar of the fighting world. MMA is way better but is still having a hard time in the main stream. I don't foresee boxing coming back any time soon.

i never watch it...but my dad bought it on PPV so i saw it. i thought it was a good fight, that mayweather is one quick SOB. i think that reff made a horrible call on hatton with the behind the head punch, mayweather turned his back plus hatton's punch never made contact! boo.... if it werent for those 2 blows at the end of the fight, i think hatton might have had a better chance.

anyway...mayweather didnt stand a chance in this fight...or wait, did he (i didnt think so)? thats one of the better fights ive seen in years, but thats probably because i was very drunk at a bar. the last 30 seconds or so were awesome. scrappy=good BTW.

fight was badass....

brits in the nose bleeds with a drum and trumpets....... singing chants and songs (that you'd usually hear @ a soccer/football game) with the main theme being "HATTON".....

ref was an ass... took him 3 rounds to take control of the fight...

mayweather is a quicker fighter..... both have exceptional skills....

prolly the best fight in 10-15 years (since tyson was in his prime, imo)...
