anyone know anything about em? i got a real bad oil leak after driving the car. it is on the passenger side. i think it is the headgasket but that is not the proper side to have the "infamous blown HG" issue.

Make sure it is not the power steering reservior. That gets warm sitting on top of the exhaust manifold, and can boil out.

On the neons, I used to own 3. Take a flash light and pop the hood. Look between the intake manifolds and you can tell if you have a MLS gasket. There will be little pop rivotted tabs sticking out. So if you have a MLS its probally not a Head Gasket since they are hard to blow if installed rite. As for your oil leak, check around where the crank pulley is. I read on neons.org about the oil leak comming from the crank seal.( I think)

if you have a 95 it most likely has the fiber composite HG, only the later model neons had the MLS ones.
Arghh why does the neon auto tranny only have 3 gears!!! >.<

The 3 gears are well suited for that application. Good for drag racing application.
