29554, Having unexpected people over at your house...
Posted by eclipsekaiser, Dec-04-07 07:11 PM
One of my pet peeves is when my significant other invites friends and their children over while I'm at work. This is a fairly constant deal, and it is starting to tick me off.

She would move my shit around (since it is not children appropriate, or it is something I don't want other people to see)so that I have a hard time locating it. My fridge gets raided, and I get stuck footing the grocery and utility bills. I feel like my place is the homeless shelter. Did I mention my bathroom smells all fruity and shit when I get home in the morning. Makes me feel like I should start sitting down when I urinate.

I just don't understand. One of them has a lovely home in the hills, but insist on hanging out at my place. Maybe her husband shares the same frustration?

How do you guys think I should approach this? or should i just lay down the ground rules?

It also sucks that I'm currently starving at work, and thinking of that pastrami sandwich that I am going to devour when I get home...if it is still there.

Please share your wisdom.

grounds rules are established for a reason.

make sure she knows that shopping is NOT a fucking job!! tell her to go cook soup for the REAL homeless or something, it's that time of the year isn't it.. when we act like we care about the unfortunate in this country.

(I know that sounds horrible and all, but it's the sad truth)

I don't stand for that shit. At all. Be up front. She's gonna get bitchy about it I guarantee you but stand your ground. It's your fucking house/apartment. Rules. Follow them or get the fuck out.

As cliche as it sounds your home is your castle. It's probably one of the few stable things in your life and you EXPECT it to be that way when you get home.

Edited because I suck at English.
