Well I just had the same feeling I got when I watched that movie while browsing OT.com

Over there they had this big thread about "Porsche and Toll booth" where supposedly some girl borrows her dads porsche, slams into a toll booth and splatters all over the place.

Now I'm paranoid as hell, even though I generally don't do stupid things while driving... I'm only .000000000000001% of the drivers on the road.

I should have never clicked on that thread :twitch

I saw something about that chick on the news the other day and google image searched her name. The pics were pretty gruesome.

I saw that page/link/story a while back and it's pretty crazy. Definitely NSFW, but it was the chick's own fault.

yeah its pretty bad
i deal with surgerys and trauma day in and day out and I had a hard time identifing things
especially here http://www.dattaway.us/crash/ (other pics that some sites miss)

aparentlly the CHP was sued for the "leaking" of the crash site photos

sad just sad

She was* very pretty... it's a shame young people don't have more sense than they do. They don't respect speed and power that car's like that have. That crash could have been much worse, not for her, but for innocent people on the road that were driving responsibly. Someone could have had their young child(ren) in the back seat and been a real disaster if she knocked them into the wall as well.

The only problem I see with this situation is that now the bleeding heart hippies out there will see this as what it is, Natural Selection taking its course. So someone out there is using this as proof in support of their case that the lowest common denominators of our society must dictate the rules for the rest of us.

however one has to take into account the force of impact of hitting a solid object.

almost 6 tons! and this wasent even the frontal impact it was on the top side!

NHTSA sez side impact is a 1368 Kg weight @ 35 mph =17.21 m/s
or a side impact of 23543 newton = 2.40ton-force (metric)

basically she hit aprox twice as hard as the car was safty rated for.

The pictures were not nearly as bad as I thought they were going to be...only the one picture was really bad at all.

That site only has the MILD ones, released by the CHP. Some one else gave a link to the more gruesome ones where they zoom in with macro mode and stuff... I'm guessing she hit that corner wall with her head.. sux for her family.. but can't get a more graphical example of "brainless" than that.
