Alright guys, I'm gonna try this and hopefully I won't have to lock it off. I'm starting a new project and I'm wondering if CI has gotten better in the last say 4 or 5 months. I'm not looking for flames or crap like that. What I'm hoping for is an E-bay like answer (maybe a couple of sentences) from people who have dealt with them in the last 4 to 5 months. Not "they Effin' suck" or "they are the Cat's ass". More like "I bought XXXXX and I received it that week. I had a positive experience with them." Or "I waited 5 weeks for a part and it was the wrong part. I had a bad experience with them."

I'm honestly trying to assess wether or not I want to try them again. I have been reading and seeing better and better responses about them lately. Just wondering if this is just me. Personally, I have had both great and rotten experiences with them.

Thanks in advance for the measured replys.

well, i had placed an order for two silicon couplers. couple weeks later nothing, no email of tracking number ect.. so i gave them a call, talked to shawn, he looked into it and got back to me in a quick manner. turns out i was never charged for it, something wrong with the computer. so he asked if i still wanted it, i said sure. got it in a matter of days. IMO, shawn gave it his full attention when it became apparent there was a problem. kept communication open, and resolved it in a quick manner. ive always had fair transactions with CI.

I personally had a bad experience with them when I ordered my parts. I ordered from them at the end of July for some rebuild parts and it took over 2 weeks to get the parts from them. Also, I ordered main and rod Clevite bearings and received some King bearings instead. So I called trying to figure out why the mix up and they said they were the same thing at the same price. So, Instead of waiting another 2-3+ weeks for me to send them back and then for me to get the right ones, i bought them at napa and just ate the cost because i needed my car running again. Thats just my experience and I personally wouldn't order from them again.

All I can say Is im still waiting for a call back from them on something I wanted to order. That was months ago. My feeling is this they are a bunch of kids. Customer service is a big deal with me. Its also something you dont get from 20somethings. Im not sure how they run things. But it could be much much better.

so good luck with them you might need it.

Lets just say, I have had 1 good experience and 1 awful experience. The latter was bad enough to never ever make be buy a single thing from them again. - that's all

Great guys, no big bashing or anything. Sure does show how important customer service is (both good and bad). Gotta be more in the last 4-5 months. Keep them coming.
