My point is not that California is a terrible place to live.

My point is that the policies, ideologies, corruption, and influence of California is taking place right now in Washington DC and will affect all states.

When CA makes a law requiring special gas, or special smog equipment, or special gun parts, whatever, companies have two choices:
Make a new version compliant with CA laws (and sell it to everyone else because having a CA and a Federal version is too inefficient) or:
Stop selling to CA due to the restrictions (and lose a large percentage of their income)

This is the approach CA politicians follow. Divide and Conquer. Make it so everyone else has to follow our "lead".
