well shit
Police said a Mitsubishi Eclipse and an Oldsmobile sedan were racing on Colonial Drive in Orange County near Good Holmes Road at about 3 a.m. when the Oldsmobile slammed into a Penske rental truck heading in the opposite direction. Police are searching for the Mitsubishi involved in the crash. Officers said the driver's side door has racing stickers that read "ing" or "inge." hmmmmmmm 2gnt.
The driver of the missing Mitsubishi car will face vehicular homicide charges, troopers said.

Of course they would try to charge them with Vehicular homicide; To save face because the Florida SP are too busy eating donuts and using 2-6 cruisers to pull over one car for 5mph over. (Not to say that the other driver doesn't deserve to be charged w/ reckless endangerment, etc...)FSP is a joke; and now they're looking for another scapegoat.

Back when i lived in miami there was a similar story on the news. A brand new red corvette driven by a 16yo lost control and wrecked killing the kid street racing a black eclipse. I got pulled over a few days later and questioned about it. The ironic part of the story was it was the son of a cop, the dad let his kid drive the corvette to go watch F&F2. Good parenting right there!

Well that just kind of asinine...that bad parenting comes in when the dad didn't teach him responsibility...the kid would have drove like an ass in an escort.
At any rate the video and story describe a 3G. I'm not saying it's impossible for it to have a 2GNT sticker but most ppl to stay loyal to this site didn't move on to a 3G. More likely the sticker was a INJEN

Ok so I think everyone on the board knows I don't agree with street racing, but can they seriously charge the other guy with vehicular homicide? I know street racing is illegal but isn't it the fault of the guy that crashed that those people died? It's a short story but it sounds as if they were in the same lane and the guy in the olds pulled out into the other lane to pass. I know without 2 willing partys a street race can not happen, but I just figured these kind of charges were limited to the one driving. I will put on the flame suit here but I am just trying to wrap my mind around that one...

Most states have passed laws about vehicular homicide and racing. If you are involved in a street race, and the other car injures someone, or kills someone, or causes damage to someones property, you are responsible as well, or responsible for half of the damage to property.

What? You need me to confirm that Hispanic men drive like macho assholes, and then hit-n-run when their driving skill runs out and they realize they have no insurance? This is news to anyone?
Also, the cops aren't sure whether its a 2G or 3G.

But... IGNE... is close to 2GNT. :) and only a nonturbo would race an Oldsmobile.

Either that, or the cops have no idea what years the 3G was produced.
Kinda like Mitsu.
