"The car is on its ninth timing belt, ninth water pump, and fourth clutch. But the engine and transmission are original, as are the floor mats. "

Amazing things can happen when you actually take care of your vehicle. Thats awesome.

Funny how the ad states that the only flaw is one of the dash lights being out. Most likely it's a flashing check engine light that they tried to disconnect that keeps turning on.

This car reminds me of my cousins civic. He had a red 95 civic with over 200,000 highway miles and the bastard was trying to sell me the car for $3,500. It was a 5 speed with faded paint and the car didn't pull at all when I test drove it. Had he sold it to me for $500 I would have had a nice car to beat on.

it's not terribly uncommon, my little brothers civic had that problem, turned out it was loose harness. I've fixed several since with that same harness loose or dirty

it's still amazing that it has survived with that many miles. I wonder what a compression test would show with almost a million miles, by the ammount of service that car has had I'd guess it's in good shape

Did you see the condition of this car? Its not beat up even a little bit.

I'd pay it just to say I have a car with a million miles, and I think that is what the seller is going for.

Not bad. Toyota had an entire ad campaign with owners that had 200-, 300-, and way more miles than that on their cars. Toyota FTW>
