2729, Check out my co-workers Shelby project!!!
Posted by Dualgen2, Feb-08-06 09:15 AM
A friend of mine has an 01 Rousch Mustang and his father-in-law is building a Shelby replica car w/ this amazing Roush engine in it. Cost like $10,000 for the motor. Gonna be around 400 HP in a car that weights under 2000 pounds. Should be interesting.

Pretty engine, but for ten large, I would want well above 391hp. :thumbsdown You can get a Dodge 400ci that makes that kind of power for under $4k.

Fools and their money. Just a shame they have so much more than the rest of us...

It is a lot of money but this is how I look at it. Why do people spend $300,000 on a Lambo. when they could just buy an EVO and w/ the extra $ make it faster and better looking. It's the name, among other things. Rousch and Saleen are amazing companies and that engine is more then enough power for an 1800 pound car. I don't think I'd want more power in that car. That's like having 800+ HP in my car or 500+ HP in a 2gnt or any other 2G. Sure people have it, but once you are at that level that car gets a little crazy. I can't wait until his project is done!!!

There's not enough money in the world to make an Evo better looking than a Lamborgini. I love mine and all, but c'mon... ;)

I think he was referencing the total project at $10k. I agree, though. For only like $3500, my 351w has in the area ot 475 chp, and put 416 torque to the rear wheels.
