Looks good. It would really be awesome to have a complete write up that covers the installation as well though. Maybe I'll go turbo some day.

You bought a china turbo?

Did you take it fully apart and inspect everything?

Any casting boogers in there?

It does look swell.

You've got me interested. I'll be keeping an eye on you. ;)

I did take off the compressor housing to take a look at it and it did look nice on that side. I'll take off both sides and take some pictures maybe tonight or tomorrow when I have some time and add it to that wiki page.

EDIT:
Alright 2GeclipseRS, got you some pictures. Check out the link again and go towards the end.

I can maybe try to do that as well. I have to redo my oil lines as well when I do this so I can try to document all of that. I already did an intercooler piping writeup so this could be the next step. Stuff for the next car workday are going to be turbo install, return oil fitting on pan redone, and oil feed tee redone on back of the block. Not much else to a turbo install besides fuel setup.

Well everyone, good news is that the turbo install went pretty well (besides an oil leak still at the back of the block). Bad news is my car still smokes so it wasn't the turbo going out. At least I only spent about $200 on it.

One thing I noticed, once I put the turbo on the car and spun the wheel with my finger, it sounded like it would "catch" on something almost. Couldn't figure out why (ebay turbo duh), so I just left it on there. Spins good and when the car is running, I can't hear that noise anymore from the area. Boosts great, about as fast as my little T3 I was using did. Sorry guys, but I forgot my camera so I couldn't get any pictures of the install (shop we did it at was about 15 miles away from my house). I will be trying to fix that oil leak today (uhhh don't feel like it, but might as well) so I will get some pictures for everyone of how it looks and update the wiki page I started.

Great work sir!

So did it start smoking yet? Just messin with you. I have always wondered if they are as bad as people say they are.

I think the people on tuners are way too fast to bash ebay stuff without testing it. Hell, most people on tuners will scare you to death about car stuff. I think crankwalk is really a myth that was fabricated on tuners.

Hasn't started smoking yet haha. I know a few people who have run the ebay turbos without a problem so I figured I would give it a try to maybe figure out if most problems are a myth or real. I think the oil restrictor is a key thing with the ebay turbos though as I was told by a couple guys to get one just to be safe.
