26404, who's got a smartphone?
Posted by eclipzGST, Aug-02-07 07:47 PM
What is it and whats you opinion of it?
I'm thinking of getting one. I'll be activating it through Verizon if it matters. I'm thinking either a Motorola Q or a late model treo. Probably 650.

I have the Helio Ocean, it's pretty nice. Not really a smart phone, it's more like a sidekick but cooler. That moto Q looks really nice, I almost wish i got that but helios data plan rocks.

i used to have a smart phone, actually phones..

treo 300, 600, 650, hitachi g1000, etc...

treo is a good phone, especially if you know palm's software..

hitachi used windows pocket pc....

if you use outlook and get the treo, you'll need compatability software to "synch" them together..

either way, they are all pretty powerful...

i roll a 14dolla prepay phone now....

I ended up going with the Q. I was debating on the treo 700's but resolution and OS were the factors. 700p uses the palm software and great resolution but I was leaning more towards the windows OS. The 700W had the OS but lacked in res.
The Q seemed to have everything I was looking for. Broadbandish speed, windows OS and good screen res.
Should have by like monday or so. I'll post a review after I get it.

Im a Iphone guy I love mine. But ill tell you going with verizon the question should be what verizon smart phone should I get. If you go gsm At&t or t-mobile I can bring you into the world of high end unlocked phones. My chick uses the Motorola Ming a1200 lenix based os all touchscreen cool phone. At&t just picked it up running windows 5 or 6.0. Im a At&t dealer we sell the full att line and about 25 high end unlocked phones. I can post up some pics when I get home my work computer is being dumb.

Hey Golie, I'm thinking of getting at&t when i get back to school/work. I'm on a very limited budget. You think u can hook me up or let me in on some not so advertised deals? I'm not looking for a top of the line phone or anything, don't even care if it has a camera or not, aslong as it's sleek/nice looking.

I saw some dealers on ebay giving a free ericson with any 2year contract, but I wasn't too sure about it. Let me know what you can do. :thumbsup

Hey since you know plans in and out, I was wondering if you can help me answer a doubt.

Here is this package/deal:

Krzr for only $50 after rebates

It comes with one feature I dont need, and it costs me extra a month, the early nights and weekends, messaging etc..

Now my question: Could I get this deal so I get the krzr for $50 bucks and then cancel any feature I pick without paying a penalty? I only want/need the $39.99 plan. Sorry to keep bothering you.

it should not matter what plan you get the extra 20 bucks is internet and text if you dont want it you dont need to get it. thats how it works at my store.

if you check that "deal" the MAKE me chose a "feature" to be able to continue checking out. What i was concerned about is about having to KEEP that "feature" for the whole 2year contract, even though I don't need it.

features are add ons you dont need to keep them
