I found a Motorola Krzr on my way to school from my other school :P (attending Community college at the same time I go to San Diego State) Any who, the PHONE WAS ALL FUCKED UP, I mean the screen was nowhere to be found (I found it in the middle of the street as I crossed it, not even on the crosswalk, I was jaywalking :7 )scratched to hell, but I used my TI-89 usb cord to charge it (this phone has a mini-usb plug just like my calculator). Any who the guy calls, and "tries to threaten" me by saying hes got the FBI "GPSing" this phone... I told him "dude if you want whats left of your phone, Ill give it to you" Hes asks me where I live so I tell him I rather not meet at my house, I told him I found it in front of campus and that I'll give it to him there. The guy was a total defensive asshole through out the whole conversation, and I feel like not showing up to morrow where we said.

A situation like this happened to me a month back, I lost by USB drive, but thankfully i had installed an app, that pops up a window and asks the user (if you are not the owner) to call or email me. It ended up working and I got my USB with all my schoolwork back. I wanna do the same for this guys but he did piss me off. Plus...I kinda did fuck up his phone a bit more than it was trying to get his mem stick to read on my laptop, I couldnt get the battery cover open so I had to use a screw driver. Any ways, gime some insight guys.

Give it back to him and if he gives you crap tell him he can stuff his phone up his ass. Then just walk off and ignore him. He's not really worth your time.

YES! thats what I wanted to hear. I have to admit I was afraid the guy would be a total dick and bring the campus police with him from how he behaved on the phone.

Leave the phone on the ground where you said you would meet him. Or at best, turn it in to campus police and tell them he threatened you physically. Don't even give him the courtesy of showing up so he can threaten you in person.

I guarantee he will try to blame you for the phone being damaged. If you decide to meet him in person, MAKE SURE you have an escort or officer from campus police with you to witness and keep him from trying anything.

You know what, I WILL ask one of the campus officers to be there. Fuck that shit I have more important stuff than get into a brawl with the stupid guy who threw his phone out the window of a car.

EDIT: He didn't threaten me physically though, so that would be a lie. He did make it sound like I stole his phone. I hate drama like this, I think I might just give it to campus police and let them handle it.

Bring it to the campus police a few hours before the scheduled meet time. Tell them the situation and that you will be tied up the rest of the day and have no way to get a hold of him. Then it's out of your hands. Let them deal with him...

I have to agree with Malenko on this one. Don't lose sleep over this crap. You tried to be nice and return it and that's what counts. Why take your time out to return it if there's a chance that this a$$hole might hit you or try to blame you on something you didn't do. And the idea of giving it to the campus police is ok but what if this guy tells them that it was stolen from him? Just forget about it man, i've seen it happen many times where someone nice gets screwed for trying to do the right thing.

Well, I ended up going to school today anyways because I had to pick up a certificate of full time enrollment and my paperwork to get rehired this semester. I went into the cafeteria where we would meet and realize he didn't give me any detail on how to find him. I didn't charge the phone all day so he couldn't call it again. I ended up giving it to the campus police. I wasn't about to start going up to everyone in the cafeteria and asking if that was their phone.

I did consider selling the battery/mem. stick when I first found the phone, but then when he called I figured I could still keep the stick and said thats how I found it, but I realized it wouldn't be any different than keeping the whole thing. All in all, I will definetly think twice before I pick up something like this again.

I'm sorry it went like that but if someone found something of mine I'd want them to return it. This guy ruins things for everyone! Sorry it happened like that. BTW, if you ever find a white nokia 6255i with different back plate, it's mine, and I want it back! Lol, jk. Sorry for what happened. That sucks.
