I picked it up yesterday. It's a black & yellow 2005 GSXR1000. I'll post better pics later, my cell phone sucks. Maybe I'll ride it if it ever stops raining.

Hell yeah, nice man. I wanted to find a 600, but I can't afford it nor trust myself enough to ride one...yet.

I really want to move up to a higher cc, but I don't want to part from the R6. Ridden all the 600's and the yamaha is by far the best imo. I just want the higher cc because of the torque. I can either sell mine right now for 5k and get one or wait until next year and get a brand new one and keep this to stunt on. Choices.

I was always a yamaha rider until I got my busa (FJ600, FZR600, 97 YZF1000R). You'll notice there's an 04 gsxr 600 sitting next to my bike, which is my wife's. I doubt I'll buy anything else unless suzuki really messes something up.

Yeah, I have no idea what's up with that ugly ass can. It's such an eye sore to me. I'm trying to get my hands on a high-mount slip on from either leo vince, TiForce, or Yosh.

V, Try out the 04/05 GSXR750. It's claimed to only have 9 HP less than the 03/04 GSXR1000, but 20 peak ft lbs of torque less. Supposedly, the low end grunt is similar, but the 1k just has more in the higher R's.

2004 Yamaha R6 = 123 hp & 50 ft lbs
2004 gsxr-750 = 155 hp & 63 ft lbs
2004 gsxr-1000 = 164 hp & 83 ft lbs

I dunno what year you have, but I used the 04 for comparing the others. Depending on how this bike feels on the track, I may sell it to get an 06 gsxr-750, but only time will tell.
