5 blades

1 rear mounted close shaving blade

all in all, i was very skeptical. The whole vibrating dildo razor thing put me off. But it was on sale for $8. My honest opinion, i have never had a closer shave, or a less irritating shave. Seriously, buy this razor, its pretty damn good.

I would give it a try... BUT, I went out and spent $100 on the Remington Titanium shaver thingy. I'm too lazy to use shaving cream.

I also wanted to try that, but dang that's some dough for shaving.

My cousin works at menards, where they happened to be selling this (don't ask me why), so I got it for the five finger discount :-) I love it.

Bump for a good buy. Yet another review of the same product, a little more detail.
As a long time user of the Mach 3 turbo, and the standard Mach 3 before that, you could say that I have a tendency to buy into the latest and greatest in shaving technology. When I heard a 5 blade (!) razor was going to be available, you can imagine my enthusiasm. As I stumbled into the Grocery Store last night at 2am half hung over, half drunk still, I saw it. The sign beckoned to me. I could not resist.
I woke up this morning eager to put use to my drunken bounty...
Aesthetics: Upon initial inspection it seems a bit flimsier than the MachIII, the What is metal on the mach is represented by a chrome type paint on the Fusion. (to be fair though, I have lost 2 Mach 3 turbo power staffs to gravity and its subsequent introduction to my shower floor.) There are definitely 5 blades spaced much closer than the mach. There is also a sixth single "trimmer blade" on the top of the opposite side of the cartridge. I only found out its use after a visit to the web page.
In Action: I remember the first time I used a MachIII power staff. I said "wow". Now acclimated to the Mach, my person bar of razor expectations has been raised. I haven’t said wow since the first use. I said "wow" again. Cutting through my whiskers like so much butter, I had to wash the shaving cream off to make sure it actually performed its function. In only a few moments it was all over; painlessly, effortlessly.
Best.razor.ever.
Initial Quality Rating:
9.8
The only points lost were due to the cheesy chrome paint job.

I do that to. When I'm lazy, which is all the time. Yay for aftershave.

I had $75 in Sears gift cards, and as odd as it sounds, no tools there seemed appealing/worthwhile (at the time). So 75%off sounded pretty damn good to me. A pulley puller probably would have been good, but at the time I didn't think I'd need one in the near future (I was wrong).
I love my electric though and it was definitely worth the $25 of my money that I spent on it!

Can I just say, as a harry Mofucker, (anyone who has seen me can attest to this) YOU NEED TO GO BUY THIS RAZOR. 1. I too used the Mach 3 since it's initial release. However I did not buy into the hype of the mach 3 turbo. I figured that could make No difference. When I bought the new fusion product I had to buy the power model because it was orange, so I now also have a vibrating personal product, which it pains me to say.. 2. As for the comment on the cheap plastic I can only assume you bought the power product also. For those shaving pureists I reccomend the non power model(which is not orange btw). I got one of those for my GF to use on her legs and it is a very nice unit. Good sturdy construction, all metal componets, and it feels very well balenced. 3. The shave was awesome. Better than the mach 3 in closeness and comfort. I also was supprised by how quickly and effortlesly it shaved my face. You all know that ripping feel/sound you would get from 3 day wiskers meeting the mach 3, not with this baby. After this things performance I shaved the butter and it was just as smooth. 4. The blade on the back side is extreemly handy for getting the hard to judge places straight, but as a facil hair shaper there is still more to be desired. For you facil hair stylists out there, Would you guy's buy a product that acctually made it easy to see where the blades start and stop?
Also the blades are no different for the power or non power so if you buy the power one don't spring for the extra $ on the power blades...

Will this razor irritate the skin on my scrotum?
... it'll probably be destroyed after I'm done with it. :-o

I've been preaching this since the day I saw the MachIII, and this just proves that we're heading that way. Someday in the near future men's razors will have 17 blades, they will be ~1in wide by 3in long and will be so technical that you will need a special license to operate them. I hadn't at the time of original idea conception considered that we would be incorparating the vibrating stimulus into razors by this time, so as an addendumn I would like to make statement that I also believe they will come in three speeds, project an electro-magnetic field onto the face of the user, and most likely will be heated as well. I would personally develop this razor, as it's a money-maker in a big way, but I'm lazy so meh.

I thought with the extra blades it would just get clogged up. Guess I will have to Satan's Lair (a.k.a. Wal Dash Mart) and take possession of one of these beauties.
