that's friggin sick. That's just an amazing (albeit seemingly overcomplicated) idea. The guy who came up with those must be one hell of an engineer.

if thats what they sent in to be approved, I see why they didnt go through with it. The inside of the door is a plain piece of cloth. I cant deny its fucking bad ass, but its not finished. Engineers are professional problem solvers, and seems to be they just avoided the issue of a solid door panel on this one.
Looks good from the outside though :P

Pretty neat! I wonder if you can open both doors at the same time, though... :wary

It was just a concept. And A nicely working one at that. :shrug
The problem I see is with flat tires, the door has to be pretty close to the ground already.

I suspect the door in not metal at all. It prolly has a certain amount of flext that allows it to hide that way. If you watch carefully from the inside you can see the cloth in the upper left corner ripple like its being seriously deformed.

They needed to have built the space that houses the door into to the body so that its stored IN the car rather than UNDER it. That way if you lowered the vehicle or got a flat tire etc. the function of the door would not be compromised.
