Has anyone opened a league this year for this board? I can't remember who started our league last year, but I know who finished it ;)

I'm looking to defend the crown this year with anyone who wants in...since it looks like no one has started a league yet, I started one myself. it is a yahoo league, located here:

*Please note: I have the league set up for a Live Draft. I have always wanted to do one of these, and never been in a league that was set up in time for people to coordinate one. However, I am going to attempt it this time. I have the draft set up for Sunday, August 19th at 2:30 pm EST. If another day/time is deemed more convenient by a large number of players, we can change it. sunday seemed to be the best time to do it. If we cannot field a league with a live draft, we can change it to an autopick draft.

Jeff (EvuLFleA) set it up last year and the year before. We typically do an auto draft because it's hard to get everyone together at one time to do the draft.

I'm in, though, I cannot fuckin wait!

You need to post the actual league ID # for us to join, not the league name.

League ID is updated in post, and yeah, i figured we'd have to change it to autopick, but i'm hoping that won't be the case, with 52 days notice of the draft date.

if we need to change it, i'm ok with that...it worked out fine for me last year (and i started the season with Daunte Culpepper as my starting QB!)

I'd definitely be down for a live draft but in the past it's been hard to find really dedicated people that actually wanted AND had time to do it.

Wow, I didnt know that 2gnt still carried on with the fantasy football. I was just looking up my old team a few days ago and came across the first 2gnt league I started back in 2003. That was cool.

I've changed to an autopick draft, as requested...I will set the draft to ready next sunday.

i dont know if this has been discussed, but you still could do a live draft for those who want to. all those that cant make the draft can just set up rankings and the computer will choose players automatically.

I figured it best to wait until we had enough teams...I will set the draft to "ready" on sunday, even if we can't get a tenth. we can run with 9 teams. get your pre-draft ranks in, if you want to change them!

well lets put it this way, when mcnabb is on, he's really on and and will get you agood amount of points. on the other hand, he hasnt had a very good past couple seasons and a knee injury on top of it. its a risk but who knows, it could pay off. i got bulger in my other league and i have a good feeling about him this year

im superstitious so i have a feeling the madden curse will be a factor. yea he'll have a good amount of good games but sooner or later...

i had a decent matchup.... it all came down to monday night.... (1 point diff) and i won edging out by 2.....

GOOOO COOLEY!!! Score like 4 TD's. I'm 2-0 in my cbs league. LT had 2 tough games to start the season so I hope he gets on fire next week.

week two kicked my ass in my other two leagues. i literally got raped 155-98 and 122-67. even tho carson palmer helped me out a crapload...he obliterated me cause the other guy had chad johnson as well. in that one game those who had 85pts! what the crap!! fook week two!

both 2-0, only undefeated teams in the league...

so far, i have sat the bears defense (who are playing dallas, sun. night) and im playing carolina's D (against atlanta)...

i hope vince young sucks tonight :-) Im playing against him in both of my leagues and I'm winning both games by about 10-15 points. If I win my other league game I'm the only 3-0 guy left. Not the case on ours though. Wish I started Favre over stupid Bulger.

you what pisses me off? im in three fantasy leagues this year and i hate it when i have one player in one league and my opponent has the same guy in the other AND that guy has a friggin awesome day. Jones-Drew is that guy this week and it blows. in one case it helps me and the other not so much. hella gay IMO

oh yea...i picked up cleo lemon today in another league ,and holy shit he was an amazing pickup. despite his 2 ints, he had 2 rushing and 2 passing td for about 33pts. fuck yea!

I have AP in 2 of my 3 leagues and still managed to lose all 3.

1 of the teams I played against had LT. The other had Steve Smith, Braylon Edwards, Maurice JD, etc. Just a stupid unlucky week for me. I scored a ton of points but that didn't matter.

what a week for me. I'm about to win the superbowl in my other league and I need LT to score 9 points tonight to go to our superbowl. I winning my other superbowl 108-59 and he has Elam and Scheffler left. All of this is with Favre, Roddy White, Derrick Mason, Aaron Stecker and Gostowski on the bench and Heath Miller, McGahee and Crosby doing nothing. In our league I benched Boldin, A. Peterson, D. Bowe and Giants defense. This is my first year doing fantasy and I'm hooked! What will I do with myself after next weekend!?!??!

What's funny is my regular season record has been the same since 2005, but I took 2nd then. I took 5th in 06 and I'd be lucky if I take 7th at this point.

i blew it. I should of kept Brandon Jacobs in even though I'm surprised he played as much as he did. O well 11 point loss w/ 2 people scoring 0 points isn't bad.

Clinched my 7th place spot! :rolleyes
