Well A week ago me n a group of friends where going up an over pass here in town and a friend of mine's steering knuckle took a shit on his 97 talo Esi... Things got pretty ugly, he crossed over into the oncomming lane and took a ford ranger head on and it took out both cars. Nothing happened to the guy in the ranger but my friend broke his right wrist and his back is messed up pretty bad cuz he's kinda a big/tall guy and the airbag landed in his chest. Insurance totaled the car, I guess you can see why. Here's a pic after we just picked it up from the towing company and dopped it off by a guy we know who has his own lil junk yard behind his house so we can part it out.

And then to top it all off...
I was turning onto a street near my house today and my first gen got clipped in the ass end by some old woman in a damn near new dodge charger and the ironic part is my friend zach, the one from above, was in the car with me... not to horrible but the quarter panel is pretty much fubar'd and I still haven't figured out how I'm going to put the rear bumper cover back on. The worst part is my vehicle only has liability on it. There's gonna be a bit of a battle on this one between our insurance company's on this one. What happened was I was making a left turn and she was comming at me, I thought I had enough time but she was speeding and came up on me a lil fast. But the funny part is that she hit me while I was already around the corner, its as though she swearved at me just to hit me. Cuz where I was hit, if she was going straight, her passenger tires would have had to been three feet on the curb/off the road... so this one is going to take a while to get everything straightened out.

You're in luck bro. hope every is alright but as I was saying. Same thing happend to me in Jan. and Old lady clipped my rightside in the front, Thank God I was paying attention. She just dent my right fend shattered my rightheadlight/right foglight bent my hood little and put a small hole in my front bumper. Well, the lady was at fault she entering into on coming traffic and both had liablity and her Insurance company cut me a check for 2,000 even. :) I bought my replacement parts my self and saved/pocket $500.

That person's insuracne should be at fault and should pay you for what she did. Hopefully you both exchanged insurance info. CONTACT your insurance company NOT the old LADY's your INSURANCE COMPANY swill do the work for you.MAke sure the COP GAVE YOU A CLAIM NUMBER TO GIVE TO your Insurance company. I have PROGRESSIVE, they're great. I kept on them hard, called them like every other day and emails too. I got my check two weeks later, not bad but it should be sooner though. I'm happy I bought a Vis CF hood.

I don't know if it's different in the state you live in but I live in Jersey and was rear-ended two years ago on my way home from work. I only had liability on my car also but what I did is that I didn't notify my insurance company. I got the police report which had the insurance information of the lady that hit me and I called up her insurance and filed a claim against her with them. They send one of their agents out to look at the damage and cut me a $1,200 check a week later.

Well I got the bad news today... they're gonna total my car. I talked to my agent today to let them know what happened and she said that the lady admitted that she was speeding to her insurance who got back to mine and everything got moving already. unfortunatly I took the car to my body guy and he found that the rear carrier was bent to shit (I figured something was wrong cuz it dogtracked like a SOB!) and insurance told him to junk it:( I took a bunch of pics and emailed them to my agent this morning so they're not gonna come look at mine, but she's supposed to get back to me in the next week about buying it back cuz just the ass end is messed up. I can find a place for the rest of the parts. She said I'm gonna get $1400 back on it and figured I can buy it back from the local guys for about $500. Kinda sucks cuz this was my daily driver and the 2G is all apart, rode my bike to work today wich kinda sucked. But at least it wasn't my other car and I kinda came to the conclusion today that I wouldn't have been able to piece together a AWD drive train for the $1000 I paid for the thing a while back. Oh well shit happens right? Me N my friend are ok and thats a good thing so I guess all I have left to do is go hunt for another 1G AWD that needs a motor...
