I leave the forum for a couple days and come back to a 7 page locked thread about my restoration project... wow. First off, I think I mostly was disappointed in the lack of positive motivation from all but Driggs, Terry, and Huj. I already knew that I had an uphill battle standing before me, I didn't need everyone in the know, and some that had no clue reminding me of that fact. I will not give up on this car, and it will be back on the road by the end of the season. I may not be able to afford the turbo kit this year, but if I can get her running and in decent condition then that will be feat enough for one season. As the old thread was locked, I will continue to post updates and pics of my progress in here.

Again thanks to all that have been supportive. And for those in the area, you if you'd like to see the car of controversy, I'm having a meet at my place for my birthday. Information is in the announcements forum.

That was an old old thread. I think Driggs resurrected it just so people would be able to see the history of Shamu.

Well, I finally finished digging through the wiring under the dash. I also got the damn door panels off and took a look underneath. What a fucking mess. I think I'm gonna swap one of my doors over and keep it all manual windows and doors. That means that I soon will be on the lookout for another door to trade or buy. Less shit that can go wrong right? I also moved the feed line for the fuel from the drivers side to the passenger side and got the fuel tank open. Peeling back dynamat is not a fun or easy task. Pics to follow shortly of my progress. I should be able to put the dash back in sometime next week and then maybe get the block in the week after. I feel that now that the wiring is done it's going to be all downhill from here.
