I am very proud to announce the birth of our first son!

He was born at 10:15 pm on May 1st, 2007.

He weighed in at 8 lbs, 12 oz and 22 inches long!

His name is Cash Sorensen, with no middle name. (Come on, how can you put a middle name after that?!)

It took at least a week to convince my wife to name him Cash. My name being Michael and her's Jennifer....

I was totally going for something unusual and different. He was the talk of the entire Womens Hospital here in Houston. Everyone knew, nurses, etc. - "Oh, so this is Cash!" LOL

I know a lot of people are going to think of Johnny Cash, but that was his last name, not first. But yeah, no money. The more I hear that from people, I think "What have I done?" LOL kids are going to be saying that all through school, ha

Yea same with my boy. He will sleep a lot and he likes to be quiet and just look around, but when he is hungry or takes a poop that I dont know about, LOOK OUT because he will SCREAM. lol

Congrats. I have a 2 and 4 yr old. For those of you that have had children isn't the first ride home from the hospital the funniest thing? I remember driving like 10mph the whole way and beeping at every car that I saw come too close.

Congrats!!!! I cant believe that my little girl is almost 9 mos old. Time will fly by! Have fun getting up in the middle of the night, sleep is a thing of the past! Quentin was almost a definite reality (due to my obsession with Tarantino and his work), and Caleb were the runners up.

My mother-in-law said she heard about someone thinking about naming their son Cash, and I hounded my wife for 2 weeks about it. I feel totally in love with that name, and I've never heard anyone named that. I still can't believe I convinced her! LOL

LOL I can SO see myself doing that, Im already self concious about my driving when any other ADULT is in the car, I can just imagine when I have a baby onboard, I probably wont go past 3rd gear or be doing 10mph on 5th... :P

we tried keeping him awake today. We'll see what happens tonight.

You know, he's only 7 days old now and he's already making eye contact and lifting his head up. Is that fast?

The nurses in the hospital noticed he was already making eye contact on his 3rd day and said he was extremely responsive. Anybody else with that one? How about your 1 month old, eclipse982nrRST?

Yea my son Landon did the same thing. 3rd maybe 4th day he was looking at us straight in the eyes. He is lifting his head already too, my boy is very strong. He is SUPER responsive too, he knows his moms and my voice already as well. He can sound ass asleep, and my mom or dad can go up to him and start talking and he wont move, as if my wife or myself does it and he will wake up and just stare.

My buddies boy though he is 6 months and every time he sees his mom/dad he smiles, I cant wait until that starts happening :)

My boy has smiled maybe 10 times since he has been born.
