gilee_8 died last week in a freak automotive accident.
Gilee_8 was an avid tuner who wasn't happy unless he was trying to tackle some really advanced tuning issue, such as troubleshooting a low battery or tracking down and resolving the elusive CEL codes 12 and 55. Last Tuesday, Gil was trying to diagnose some issues with a version of Megasquirt code and, in the midst of troubleshooting, got caught up in the wire harness which pulled the hood prop rod out, causing the hood of his 2GNT to fall, killing him instantly. I think we can all agree that this is the way we would get ours, doing what we love; obsessing over some trivial little insignifigant detail under the hood of our DSM when the grim reaper arrives to ferry us across the river of the dead to the land of the damned. Clear, simply-worded replies to an overly complicated question about something so simple and common place to repair are of little help to those of us who are constantly obsessed with perfection as Gilee_8 was. He is survived by an angry girlfriend, who's car has still not passed emissions in either New York or Connecticut, and his own, self-turbocharged 2GNT. Services are pending at this time.

I thought i read somewhere that he died of carpal-tunnel syndrome from typing too many posts in the megasquirt and turbo forums too fast! or from the glue fumes when he glued his fuel lines to his SFMU?

I think almost everyone that posted had figured that out. I don't think I was around for the old pits, so I can't say I remember it, but with comments like the ones you made it was clearly a joke, and a good one at that. :thumbsup

OK guys, I haven't reply or post any thing doesn't mean I am not reading this forum from other computers or PDAs...

No wonder the past 2 months I keep sneezing, now I know why!

Anyway, I am living well and alive... even though
My Audi crashed, and 2 day ago, my eclipse caught on fire due to a short wire and blown a 20Amp fuse and I am all high and dumb and just put in a 30Amp fuse and just melt some wiring under my dash... GOD DAMN IT...
then I drive on the highway, and my entire intake just drop down under the car, go under my rear wheels and to the truck behind me and .... CAI RIP... sigh....

Other than those BAD things, i am still alive...
And I just got my Turbo eclipse tuned to boost at 16PSI perfectly and all these shit happened... (with no ignition from MS yet due to no IAC mod yet)

Anyway, don't say I am dead... coz it give me back luck! LOL.
